I'd be content with a draw from this one. Hull will be fresh and have had a week to focus on playing us. We'll have tired, bruised legs from the trip to the Britannia.
 
Ben Arfa's getting fitter by the day. It might not happen on Saturday, but he's definitely going to kill someone soon !
 
I see Merson says it is only Pelle that is the difference between us and Hull. He said if Hull had Pelle they would be the same if not better.

Ignoring the fact that it's Dušan that makes a hell of a lot of our attacking moves come to something.

Does this count as lazy thinking? I think that it does, especially the comment about Saints. We have long been greater than the sum of our parts, and that is why we didn't have the much predicted meltdown.

I don't know all the facts...won't insult Hull by pretending to know how good they are, but I do know how good we are. Hull must be impressive if they have a midfield including players as good as Davis, Schneiderlin, and Tadic. The fact is that Pelle is a Saints player and not a Hull player...you could go through all the teams and pick out a player who is central to their success.

Surely a person, supposedly meant to be an expert in the field, because he's an ex-playing professional, can't be as pig ignorant as that..? I have to remember also that this guy gets paid for the drivel he comes out with. With each utterance he makes he pulls down the level of competence within his profession. Punditry that is, not football.
