I'd go with that, definitely rest Honeyman though.

Not a great record. The only glimmer is that 6 of the 8 wins against them were at home !
No home crowd in support mind.

I don't expect we'll see Honeyman start tomorrow, which is a concern, as we generally look a bit **** when he doesn't play (though we obviously looked fairly **** when he did start last time out).

Swindon Town is the only club in the football league whose name doesn't contain any of the letters in the word 'mackerel'.

It was referred to as Suindune (in the Domesday Book) meaning ‘Pig Hill, and later ‘Swine Town’ ’ as the town used to be swarming with pigs.

Virgin Airways famous red-lady emblem was created by Ken White, Swindon's home grown mural man.

The Bodleian Library's book depository, contains 153 miles (246 km) of bookshelves.

Swindon is twinned with Walt Disney World.

‘Oasis’ took their name from the Oasis Leisure Centre in Swindon.

James Bond was shot twice in Swindon.

Ian Fleming is buried in St James Church.

Smashie and Nicey radio show was broadcasted in Swindon.

In December-January 2009/10 Billy Paynter scored in seven consecutive League games for Swindon.

True – but then we haven't had Crowley ready to step in before. We'll miss George's engine (and maybe his set-piece delivery), but Crowley can do things he can't.

Agree about dropping Smallwood, but it probably not going to happen cant see McCann dropping the team captain.

Swindon will set up to defend and hope to catch us on the break. I think Crowley is perfect to unlock a tight defence so long as someone can get on the end of the pass. First goal is important, we score, they have to come out, they score and it will be 11 behind the ball. No point in a battering ram so Magennis on the bench, come on second half when their back 4/6 will be tiring... piss easy this managering stuff!!! If only you could play football on paper and not a pitch ...

Smallwood's passing was very poor the other night (although he wasn't alone) but I personally think t would be mad to drop him unless he's completely exhausted. He's protected the back four really well virtually all season (and he had gone off when they scored the second from just in front of the back four on Tuesday night. And if Honeyman isn't playing, we'll need him even more. Crowley looks like he has a pass in him (if he doesn't try to overdo it) but can't see him defending from the front in the way George does.

100% agree with this. Smallwood had his best game for us seven days ago and dropping him after one poorer performance in the pissing rain would be madness.

Anyone that thinks Crowley is a straight swap for Honeyman hasn't been paying attention - he is a completely different kind of player that doesn't do half the things Honeyman offers. My expectation is a midfield with Smallwood and Jones lying deeper and Docherty pushing on.

Wasn't George a terrible signing on here when he came? And it only got worse for him after his first few games.

    "He's ****" he's a headless chicken" "terrible signing"....

He's the Lord our god now!

This often happens in reverse. Players come and.... "Great signing" "He's a far better option than what we have so play him"....

Turns out to be **** <doh>

I really hope this won't be the case with Whyte and Crowley, but it does happen an awful lot, give them some time and make judgment then <ok>

I recall the 20/11/04 game. Lost 2-4 Played in a snow storm, though not as cold as the MK hockey stadium farce.

Swindon looked half decent in the win at Ipswich, but that doesn't say much....City win 3-1

I reckon given a month of training you could do a job for 15 minutes in this League.

Haha, no mate, I'm a knackered I'm afraid.

I do believe I could've done it many years ago, but misspent youth and all that....
