It's 3 away games on the bounce next up.
I don't see us getting anything at Sunderland (Sheff U was a rare one off event), Cardiff will be fighting for their lives too, and Bristol C are pushing for the play offs, as are WBA, Watford, Wednesday and Coventry who we also have coming up.
If we don't get reasonable points from these next 3 (I don't realistically see how we will or why we should expect to) we could well be adrift by the time we get to play the likes of Oxford and Luton at home; games that are likely to be 'must wins' and games that we'd like to think we'll win, but with little evidence to suggest we will.
With Plymouth seeing an upturn (3 wins in their last 4 games), we are in deep, deep ****.
Come on GFAW, chin up! Sheff U wasn't quite a one-off, we did beat QPR, Blackburn and Millwall, we are capable of pulling off 'shock' results, Plymouth's revival might have peaked and strange things can happen at this end of the season.
UTT!

As the Pilly game being rescheduled yet? Lets hope its days after they've taken a right royal shafting at the hands of Man Citeh so they come to our place feeling exploited, abused and battered. But knowing City has I do, they're probably take pity on them and give them a leg up. Will be a crucial game whenever it takes place.

I beg to differ on who we can or cannot hypothetically take points from for the duration of the season . Given the number of players yet to achieve proper match fitness after arriving you could arguably point out the best is yet to come from them still . Right now City are 16th in the form table which on paper is not too shabby. Our Achilles heel is inconsistency, and arguably the damage done during Wallys time spent here which is almost certainly why we are still in the relegation scrap rather than a mid table slot.

One game at a time for me..the rest will take care of itself.

Announced this morning, rescheduled for the Tuesday following their FA Cup weekend.

That's convinient for their fans, no point going back down home from Manchester just hang around for a couple of days in the former city of culture.
Good for us, but only if they get stuffed, big time at Citeh. But City's propensity to go soft on teams previously hammered is the stuff of legend...Therefore they'll come here licking their wounds and win...Its bleeding obvious.

The next week or 2 everything could change as a lot of the teams at the bottom of the table with us seem to be playing each other

Next 2 games for the bottom 5 are

Luton play Plymouth and Watford
Plymouth play Luton and Cardiff
Derby play Millwall and Middlesbrough
Cardiff play Plymouth and us

And obviously we play Sunderland and Cardiff

There is chance for teams to pull away or fall back but probably all take points off each other

The interesting thing about consistency is you can look at it two ways.

We aren’t getting back to back wins - which isn’t good. That would clearly be the easiest way to help us get out of our current state.

But at the same time we also aren’t going on long losing runs. That could be really helpful come the end of the season - especially if it keeps confidence up that the team can get at least a point in most games.

Consistently inconsistent isn’t that bad form to be in. We just need to avoid long losing runs.

We also play Plymouth, Oxford, Luton, Swansea, Derby and Portsmouth....Were gonna require snookers. It might even go down to a final frame black ball game.

Where will our goals come from to keep us up?
We've brought in 3 or 4 decent additional players (and 2 or 3 odd signings) to strengthen what's available, but not really added enough certainty of goals to the extent we need.
Since 1st October, bar 2 stand outs, we only ever score 0 or 1. As we struggle to keep clean sheets, and haven't really strengthened sufficiently at the back, it's a massive problem. Will it change? How will it change?

I don’t know but as there are 3 teams below us and in no better form - so as long as it stays as is we stay up.

Cardiff still have to play 5 of the top 6.

We’re in trouble but it really is far from over.

The doom and glooms well over the top
Youd think wed lost 5-0 to norwich

We wont have many majestic performances in the remaining games, we dont need to either

But we will do enough to stay up

Our goals will be scattered across the team/squad. I'd rather that then rely on one player who might get injured and miss the run in.

We obviously have the necessary skills and capabilities because of the great starts we’re making in matches. ‘Just’ need to extend the 25 minutes of excellent play for another 70 minutes. You can almost see the switch going off and the sitting back and letting the opposition get control.

Crooks goal was excellent. I was watching him doing his run in because I’d just been having a ‘discussion’ with someone that he’s actually faster than he looks, he’s got that big lad loping around manner that makes you think he’s slow. He’s got a decent burst of speed on him.

This is a worry - we've signed several players who are either forwards or midfielders but we still lack the ability to create clear chances

Don't worry about it. Brady says we are going to get 4 points from the next 2 games, so we should be moving up the table by the end of this month

I'd love to know what is said in the dressing room at HT. Every time we come out for the 2nd half we seem to be half asleep and our energy levels seem much lower than the opposition. Something in the tea?

It's always the period of the game with the worst atmosphere. It's absolutely dead for 5-10 minutes after half time every game. The weird thing is, regardless of how hard it is to get the crowd going in those early moments, as soon as people see a squirrel they go absolutely nuts! The players didn't see it but I bet they wondered what the crowd were whooping and hollering about.
