I thought we were very lucky to get a point when they scored so early in the second half

We did get a point though

I'm not usually a conspiracy theorist but something is going on with us not playing Puerta

We were hanging on at the end and if anyone was going to score again it wasn't us. Point gained in that sense.

The Puerta situation must be something to do with £££ - Maybe we don't want to commit to buying him?

Plymouth, derby and luton are ****e

Its no worry
How good can a striker play when they need to be in our half to get the ball. I thought the subs did well, they didn't change the game in our favour, but they gave us more possession, especially up the pitch

Not his fault, but I can't remember Joseph touching the ball when he came on. For at team that has signed so many wingers and midfielders we are still struggling to create any chances for our strikers

My twopenneth for what it’s worth, I’d have took a point ahead of this one, so for me a good point gained, against a big, physical, promotion chasing Norwich side, a draw a fair result overall. Not denying that we did ride our luck at times, but about time luck was on our side! Shows how far we’ve come, last time out against Norwich under Walter, we got hammered 4 nil. I thought a good, entertaining game, we made our intentions with a committed start, at it from the off, a good first half, going toe to toe with them, and a great goal by Crooks, ably assisted by Coyle, who lifted his game from previous. Pity we couldn’t replicate the 2nd half start, once again, showing our weakness caught from the off. I did say earlier, the 12th man would be important, that proving to be the case for Norwich, with SS, (secret squirrel) Wonder if we thought ref might have stopped play, but got to play to the whistle. Subs added quality for them, ours just more a case of adding fresh legs. Thought Burstow & Matazo got stuck in, but Kamara just too lightweight, half arsed, doesn’t exactly fit in with Selles liking of committed, grafting play, probably a sign of all that’s available at the mo. Kamara’s best game was after his soc media misdemeanour, when he came out with a point to prove, and two goals, can we have that version back? The Puerta situation is a messy puzzle, should be one of first on team sheet.

Whilst we’ve got a tougher couple of games coming up, the acid test for us to get out of the messy end is graft, performance and points from those teams around us on the horizon, easier said than done I know, but ball is still in our own court, seize the initiative. UTT

It was such a soft goal to concede, neither centre back tracked the runner and Pandur is just stood in no man’s land making no attempt to stop the cross.

That aside I thought we defended well and it was a solid point against a team pushing for the play-offs.

Our goal was the kind of goal I always complain about us not scoring enough. Got into a really good position out wide and for once actually made it count with a decent cross and a runner in the middle doing everything to get on the end of it. Exactly the kind of thing I hoped for from Crooks having watched his highlights reel at Boro. If we did that more often when we get into those sorts of positions we'd be fine.

I'd love to know what is said in the dressing room at HT. Every time we come out for the 2nd half we seem to be half asleep and our energy levels seem much lower than the opposition. Something in the tea?

Because he's not top dog.

I think your argument would carry more weight if we hadn’t seen our midfield completely run out of steam three games in a row because only Alzate and Slater seem to be fully fit.

Your theory would suggest Sellés would rather watch Crooks hobble around exhausted rather than consider bringing on Puerta and that just wouldn’t make sense in our situation.

That’s before you even consider that the only player on the bench getting no minutes at all is the player with the deal that has an appearance related obligation to buy.

Im not even puertas biggest fan
But if selles genuinely doesnt think hes worth even 5 mins of gametime
My opinion of selles has decreased

..... Hopefully we can go and at least get something from the Sunderland game, thereafter 2 very important home games against fellow strugglers.
It's 3 away games on the bounce next up.
I don't see us getting anything at Sunderland (Sheff U was a rare one off event), Cardiff will be fighting for their lives too, and Bristol C are pushing for the play offs, as are WBA, Watford, Wednesday and Coventry who we also have coming up.
If we don't get reasonable points from these next 3 (I don't realistically see how we will or why we should expect to) we could well be adrift by the time we get to play the likes of Oxford and Luton at home; games that are likely to be 'must wins' and games that we'd like to think we'll win, but with little evidence to suggest we will.
With Plymouth seeing an upturn (3 wins in their last 4 games), we are in deep, deep ****.
