Every season on here, sometimes several times a season, we have a 'worst ever perfomance' post on here, very little, if anything, comes close to Hateley's Doncaster away debacle.

Possibly, but my first City game was in the 65/66 season and I'm struggling to think of another home league game when we were 4-0 down at halftime.

Correct. The same lot who will be there lauding over the players and singing and dancing when we beat Wrexham next week.

If you can't stick with your team through thick or thin (in any kind of weather to quote a another clubs motto) then it's a worry. The players didn't do that on purpose. They were set up badly and allowed themselves to be overrun looking like boys against men. It happens, it literally happened to Derby today. This is the championship where any side will punish you if you are not absolutely on your game. Stoke and Derby fans both found that out today too.

My suggestion to anyone who left because they were wet is to buy a big coat.

Im sure we have been but even so, even at 4-0 down there’s that feeling that this team is never dead and buried. After we scored the penalty I was thinking maybe just maybe.

How often has a 4-0 deficit ever been turned around in the pro game? Can’t happen very often.

1998. Away. 2 v poor sides. Doncaster bottom, us down there too. 1-0 to Donny. It was awful. But can't see how 1-0 away from home can compare to getting bum ****ed at home 0-4 by HT, no shots, etc etc. ?

I've been supporting City for over 50 years HT - so whether I like it or not I guess that makes me a masochist.

I chose to watch the highlights. I thought our performance was positively Shakespearean...

... as in it was A Comedy of Errors.

Hednesford at home in the FA cup. It might have even been the same season.

Tbh, I didn’t think I’d make the game last night as something came up but I managed to get there. Stayed until the final whistle and clapped them off. Giles came over to the East Stand to apologise and thank the supporters.

Ironically, the home crowd was louder in the second half after the exodus. I thought booing especially was poor by the supporters. It was more understandable last season when we were struggling and playing **** under both Walter and Sellés. We’ve been in and around the play-offs most of the season.

I couldn't believe the boos. I guess that's what cheap tickets attracts. Someone like Trumpton or Two Wright's may be able to correct me but even under the dark days of Dolan I don't even remember boos. I remember songs about him and Jeff Lee, I remember certain players being substituted getting loud applause but I cannot ever remember Bootherry Park booing a city team. I may be wrong though.

I have been going since 1963 and can’t recall us being 4-0:down at home i’m a league game. Can’t recall it in a Cup game either. Even when Chelsea slugged us 6-1 in the Cup it was only 2-1 at half time.

What was the half time score in the 7-0 Tottenham game?

Even though it was away, being 7-0 down to Wigan at halftime will never be topped for ****eness in our history.

I didn’t go last night, I was caught up coming home from work on the m62 and it took 2.5 hours from Batley , I had to pick up some birthday stuff for my daughter and was rushing . I was knackered and the final straw for me was the rain, and I don’t actually care what people think . For about 20 years I barely missed a game home or away , I was an exclusive member of duffers 61 club , it was joked amongst my family they hoped their funeral didn’t clash with City as I probably wouldn’t go ….. then somebody did die and I realised city isn’t as important as some of you think it is, it’s a big part of life , but sometimes after a long week at work , getting soaked to the skin isn’t fun and watching it on the tele with unlimited brews is good enough , and if that ruins my admission to the Hull City Uber fan club , I’m ok with that,
