He played center back against Blackburn. Agree though he could be worth a go at def mid, we certainly need to try something different there.Maybe HHB cant recall... just a thought,. expensive signing Lundstram ....
It's not so much ambition. Destan, Joseph, Crooks and a subdued / marked Gelhardt, being fed by Amir and Slater. What do we really expect.Makeshift back four and we didn't have any ambition.
I'm expecting there will be no day off... I would have loved to have ben a fly on the wall at half time and full time. apparently SJ read the riot act at Stoke so goodness knows what was said last night...
For at least 5 seasons we have been missing a leader on the pitch... still havent found one...
I hope not. He's not ready.I wonder with Lundstram out, whether he will try Cathal McC in that defensive midfield role against Wrexham. He seemed to do ok there in pre season...
A shot would be nice.It's not so much ambition. Destan, Joseph, Crooks and a subdued / marked Gelhardt, being fed by Amir and Slater. What do we really expect.
Its a totally different game live then it is watching on a tv screen. The atmosphere around the ground, the miserable weather, the joyous away end and the mass evacuation at half time of our fans, the telly doesn't capture that, or the body language of our players, the bench, and the general feeling of disbelief and disappointment in the stands. You don't get any of that from your armchair.You're right, I wasn't sat in the stadium so have no clue what happened.![]()
Derby’s defence having an absolute Hull City in the first half against Leicester. 0-3 down after half an hour.
Missed all of this whilst getting a great night’s kip on a North Sea Ferry.
Do you recommend that I;
a) watch a full replay?
b) just watch the highlights?
c) pretend it never happened?

Yes ‘these things happen’ but we didn’t have a great game at Stoke, we rescued a **** show of a first half - something that has started to feel like routine. Our XG against is ridiculous and it’s only Gelhardt’s form that’s prevented us from being in a relegation fight. I don’t know if it’s a tweak or major surgery but it’s on Sergei to sort it before we start slipping down the division.Sorry about that. Just read five pages and I was speechless. Sure it was a crap night and these happen in football. But we had a great game at Stoke and nabbed 3 points. Swings and Roundabouts. You can’t concede the goals we have and expect the playoffs it just won’t happen. We need a player to sit in front of the back four and we need him bad. This season smacks of mid table maybe a bit either way but it is still a lot better than I expected and I think in Jan we will be looking for that defensive player as a priority. Chins up boys there’s a long way to go yet.
He did get it wrong imo but in post match interviews he did say Boro played exactly as he expected them to. (which is a tad concerning)In the less cold and drier light of day, I think Sergej also got his tactics wrong against their unusual formation, in his pre match interview he mentioned something about the new managers style and team formation , not excusing individual performances and mistakes, hopefully having better preparation of players & tactics for Wednesday, our topsy turvy season will continue....
