I'm nervous about tonight. Ipswich are a good side who have come into some decent form. Whilst I'm pleased with our start to the season, we still seem to not be able to shake off having a dodgy 45 minutes per game.

Hopefully we'll start well tonight and do what we did to Leicester, but I'd be happy with a point to be honest.

We’re only nervous because we’ve got ourselves into such a good position and now we don’t want to lose it! Hopefully the players don’t feel too much pressure.

Fair point, we wouldn't have expected to beat Ipswich at the start of the season.

whats crazy is we are 6th on 25

3 points above qpr in 15th

what an open league

Don't people say this every year though. It's just the nature of the early season when teams haven't had time to get a spread of points totals yet.

well last season
after 16 games
6th place was 7 points above 15th.

2 years ago, it was 6 points

3 years ago, it was also 6 points

so not really

interestingly, sheff wed have more points at this stage than they did in 2023<laugh> ( in terms of points won) 8 vs 6
dannys rohls turnaround of them really was incredible

Should be a good game tonight. A bit of a worry with their wingers but we are used to that. It's not saying a lot for the coaching staff here if they have to bring in a set-piece consultant to sort out the problems we all know they have. At least the owner is trying to do something about it now and if possible lets hope he can strengthen the midfield in January - not bringing in injury prone players would help. Not great but I'd be quite happy with a draw.

Sorry guys...Ipswich have really found their feet in championship now..we will get gubbed tonight ....3 or 4 nowt to them I think.
Who is fit?

When did people start saying that playing on a saturday
then midweek then the next saturday is a "3 game week" ?

The bookies really don't fancy us for this game , if you
do there are some very good odds available

I'll take the 15/4 to win Bet365 are giving us, but pass on their offer of 10/3 on Oli McBurnie first scorer.

Well, I’m a little stiff after a round of golf and then a strenuous Pilates session yesterday, but not too bad.
Should be able to make the walk to and from the pub and ground tonight in slightly above average time I’d think.

Doubt we will see Mcburnie and Millar before Xmas.
Genuine question. Do you have any hard evidence for this, or are you just thinking the club are leading us on? I agree the return date keeps going back but Dean Holden suggested yesterday that there had initially been a setback for Oli but that now they felt he was likely to be back for the Boro game (I assume he meant the HOME Boro game!)
