Remember back in the day when Liam Gallagher was 100% opening the Bonus Arena, and anyone who didn't believe it was a complete idiot?

Well, he's just announced his latest tour dates...

...and Hull isn't among them.

What a ****ing shocker.

Wouldn't've topped Noel's gig anyways.

Went in prem, or squared as it is now, the other day.
Just selling off the last of the stock. His dad died a While ago and the lads going online to sell now.
Very sad.

Sorry to hear that. I wasn't exactly a regular but I'd pop in from time to time.

His dad knew his stuff. Not just his own stock. He's often know all about the clothes I was wearing and I'm not one for wearing labels.

£22m Whitefriargate fund a step closer after successful Hull City Council bid

Hull City Council has taken a step closer to securing £22 million to regenerate Whitefriargate.

The council has been successful in the first stage of the bidding process and will now be given a funding grant to develop a full business case for capital investment from the Future High Streets Fund (FHSF).

The council made the bid to the Government’s £675 million Future High Streets Fund in March after setting up a City Centre Investment Group, made up of the city’s businesses, stakeholders and partners, to help develop the application.

The Government fund was created to diversify the traditional high street retail offer and create more vibrant town and city centres.

Just read that Steak/1884 in Humber Street has closed down already. I fear for those businesses bold enough to set up down there, you wonder how long they can hang on until there are more people living there.
On the up side that Nibble cafe next door to the C4DI building seems to do well, although being over 30 and without a beard or tattoo I do feel a bit conspicuous in there. :emoticon-0101-sadsm

Yes, I suppose they're surviving on overdrafts and whatever they do on Friday and Saturday nights. I do make a point of buying gin in that deli on Pier St though, never seen another customer in there!

I’ve used that deli a few times (bought gin from there, and went to a wine tasting evening there too)
It’s an odd mixture of really nice deli stuff and things like tins of beans, but I assume it’s there ready for the gradual increase in people living down there?.
Seem nice people running it anyway.

<laugh><laugh> Well I'm a reet boring bastard then. The only extra marks on my body are stitches from operation scars. And the only holes on my body are what God gave me, such as gob, arse ears and nostrils. Hair is what I was born with although it is changing colour rapidly.
