Who said it was good? It’s just accurate unlike the selective 2 in 11 and better than 2 in 11
Whatever.... 0.18 win rate or 0.33 win rate. The point is look at the sides we have played, If they aint top 6, this team struggles to win. We can't defeat teams with a low block and pacy forwards. It could be mentality thing as well with maybe the players can't get motivated for these games. Either way last season our away form was relegation material, this year our home form is now starting to wobble. Do you not see it? The team is regressing, look at Howes interviews, he nearly a beaten man, he doesnt know how to fix this!

Again I just want to understand why people are so keen to defend him?

18 months ago was far too soon to hound him out in my view.

Looking at things objectively he has done well with player development..... Tino, Lewis Hall, Anthony Gordon, Joelinton all becoming internationals. The team did play good football and we did get results.

Think he's just gone a bit stale. He may well turn it around but even I'm now thinking he's gone the second we're out the cup competitions.

To save face? They didn't with previous managers.

I find it really odd. Sure he seems ok (though incredibly dull) but if you read Puke Edwards you’d think people were trying to hang his own mother. What the **** has Howe done to get this massive loyalty?! Did a great job two years ago, then managed to chuck UCL down the bog during a mostly underwhelming season then this season we’re getting steadily worse again. It’s not like he’s Pep or Sir Alex incarnate. He was 7th choice then and looks crap, why are so many people behind the bloke? It’s bizarre.

More and more are coming around to the idea he's a programme elevator and nothing more.

Providing he's removed early enough he'll have done a good job putting the foundations in, but the milk started turning sour a year ago.

There's large numbers out there that spent all last season saying oh its just injuries and arguing until they were blue in the face we'd challenge the top 4 this season, yet here we are and they've started making other excuses.

just seen some Steve Bruce thing, about the takeover and how he stepped away and missed out on his 1,000 game, to help the club.

because the fans were so angry towards him. And he wanted the club to move upwards…..

is there any truth in that?

I don’t think anyone wanted him gone 18 months ago but in that exact time frame we have positively strolled backwards! For me the most telling sign has been yesterday’s match and the West Ham debacle when we “switched” to a 442 that not one player seemed to recognise. That to me shows huge limitations in Howes management, in that there is no plan b whatsoever.

There’s a lot of stuff wrong with the club as you perfectly pointed out. Hopefully they’ll appoint this ex Arsenal CEO soon then we can see the second wave of progress. But for me Howe now encapsulates a lot of NUFC at the moment; stale, predictable, dull.

I said it was injuries and fatigue myself. The squad wasn't big enough or good enough to cope with the extra games against the quality of opposition we were drawn against in the CL.

I would have ****ed off the CL personally, and just banked the money. We would have been just as well to have just done that, looking back now.

Some of the injuries last year can't be ignored. You then, do have to look at the clubs lack of transfer business and odd decision making over the last 18 months too.

I always thought the Tonali and Barnes signings were daft. Not because Tonali isn't a good player but because the first team required strengthening elsewhere.

You then need to look at natural decline in a number of players and unfortunately the 2 things result in what we're seeing now.

The major issue now is we no longer play every game with intensity, we no longer press to the same degree and as a result the tactic has changed somewhat and is no longer working to the same levels.

It's now on Howe to evolve and change things up so he gets the best results with what's at his disposal.

Howe has done nothing but ride a wave of money... nothing improved until after the first big spend and when the money ran out unsurprisingly it appears so did his messiah like ability .

Edwards enjoys making the fans look bad and that's his motive on this. Howe has had great fan support, but no matter how **** he does the media narrative will be that he was unfairly treated and the fans have unrealistic expectations.

This is why I want them to allow Howe to carry on a while longer or perhaps finish the season, but give him nothing in January... let him go out on his shield

Tonali was the replacement for Bruno. But they messed that up as well

Yes probably, but the hate for him is so strong they'll say he's lieing without any evidence he is.

Nah, they gave him his 1,000th game then binned him off. Wouldn't trust a word that came out the mans mouth. He's even said it was him that got Eddie Howe the job ffs <laugh><laugh><laugh>

What he said was that he was the only negative left and basically offered to resign while also suggesting Howe and Gerrard as replacements.

The fact Stavely said he didn't even want to come to work marries up with what he's saying actually..

He has no reason to lie and if he was he would know someone could just out him which they never have.

Let's talk facts here shall we. Howe has had 19 signings. They are:

Loris Karius - GK - Reserve
John Ruddy - GK - Reserve
Odysseas Vlachodimos - GK - Reserve
Nick Pope - GK - First Team

Lewis Hall - LB - First Team
Matt Targett - LB - Reserve

Tino Livramento - RB - First Team
Kieran Trippier - RB - Reserve

Lloyd Kelly - CB - Reserve
Sven Botman - CB - Injured
Dan Burn - CB - First Team

Sandro Tonali - CM - Reserve
Bruno Guimaraes - CM - First Team

Anthony Gordon - LW - First Team
Harvey Barnes - LW - Reserve

Yankuba Minteh - RW - never even made it to reserves

William Osula - CF - Reserve
Alexander Isak - CF - First Team
Chris Wood - CF - Reserve

So out of 19 players, In my view we have 7 first team players currently, 3 that have left, 9 reserves.

He's hardly rode a wave of money man <laugh>

Newcastle are the 5th highest spenders since Howe took over.

Results didn't improve until the money was spent and now the money has dried up so have results.

I think all these guys are riding waves tbh.

They did actually, was draws rather than wins though but still, small gains. <whistle>

chase of a DoF that doesn’t work out, a manager who does okay, but then falls away.
You just need sanctions against the owners/investors to get bingo.

did say it wouldn’t be pain sailing
