A really successful WUM is probably in his mid fifties.

I wasn't alive when Spurs last won the title, so I cannot be mid fifties.

On the whole, this was a creditable wum attempt, Tricky. You obviously put a lot of effort into it, as well as a great deal of thought. Using mistaken and erroneous information to attack an opponent is a very effective way in which to wind them up. Admittedly, it is not as clever or effective as real wit, which is why a Master Wum would never use it as his sole weapon; but I am pleased to note that you are slowly developing your wumming skills.

I would definitely award your efforts a B+.

Still doesnt change the fakht he's fcking overrated bcos of it. Even chelsea fans dont claim RDM is a footballing genius bcos they won the CL under him.

Lost a League Cup final to Chelsea.
Won Champions League.
Won FA Cup
Lost a Champions League Final to AC Milan.
Runners up in the league.

He was our manager for 6 seasons.

That's pretty much his success with us not taking into account the Super Cup and Community shield wins.

I'm not saying all hail Rafa and perhaps some overrate him but you lot certainly underrate his time with us, he had us feared in Europe and constantly in there challenging for trophies. Like @FosseFilberto said a lot of fans would be happy with that, maybe it's time to climb down from the Utd mountain top and take a look at reality.

Liverpool L's win devalued the competition somewhat.

****ing hilarious, take a look at how we won it from start to finish, that's what footy is all about. Winning at the death, almost going out but believing and keeping going until the end, never giving up, romantic Roy of the Rovers stuff. I feel sad for you if you can't recognise what we achieved in that win.

Ok, he ain't exactly Mr Personality plus, but he's the best manager you've had since Paisley.

Could never understand why he was sacked!

He was sacked because he's a petulant **** who thrives off in fighting. Eventually club owners tire of it. Remarkably he was unpopular at Valencia despite winning them league titles. Very unlikeable person.

If that's true, I can't see him lasting long at Real. Not with all the huge egos there!..

I used to refer to Benitez as "the Clown," because he was consistently screwing things up, towards the end.

In a way, I miss his pudgy, blotchy red face scowling on my TV screen, as he searches, vainly, for more and more excuses to express why LFC is so crap!

Hopefully, he will return, one day.

He can be a difficult character but look at the owners we had at the time, however some of his signings were poor and it wasn't going well and a lot of it was down to him at the time.

He's lucky as he's up against a Barca team going through a difficult time. They haven't been able to play any of their new signings due to the transfer ban and Messi is injured. Still he's not managed to get Real to the top of the table which is laughable really. He should win the league but if anyone can manage to destabilise a cub that is a shoe in for the title then it's Benitez. The best thing he could do is just let the players get on with it but he will alienate them while going to war with the hierarchy.
