I DONT SEE any defender there, why our's center back can't score from corner ?
Any answer?
Have a great weekend you all.

I still think our corners and free-kicks are pretty horrible, but also that we've been unlucky.

Horrible in that they're aimed at Williamson, whose heading ability I rate worse than Lance Armstrong's "apologetic" face. Seriously, the bloke wins a header because he's tall, so the entire premise relies on it bouncing off him fortunately?! He has no directional ability whatsoever, so it's no wonder we score so few goals in this manner.

Unfortunate because we've had some decent opportunities in more recent games, which Colo has screwed wide more often than not. A bit more luck and we might have scored.

Really hoping things come together against Reading, they need to.

It;s not that our CB's can't score, it's coz our routines have been **** over the last 18 months or so, and we've lost our best set piece players.

Barton is gone, and Raylor doesn't often play in the first team.

Saylor has proven deadly in the box, if given the space and delivery.

Poor set piece takers.

Poor set piece routines.

Poor aggression from players in terms of dead balls and crosses in general.

That sums it up for me. Pardew has to sort the routines out first and foremost. I also think whereby we don't have the right type of players to attack the ball and you can't make them great at set pieces, you can coach this a little. The poor set piece takers is just something we have to suck unfortunately. You either ensure the next one you sign is a specialist or accept the quality is never great when Raylor is not on the pitch. Cabaye, Benni, Bigi, Anita and various others have had a go and none of them have convinced.

If Saylor & Colo both play then we have more chance of goals from set plays. Cabaye back to deliver to them too.
