Miguel Almiron writing on the NUFC site has said it would be nice to win a trophy and present it to the supporters , how long does he intend staying and playing to achieve that ? . I think being from South America he was not aware of the wait their fans have had or he may have had second thoughts about joining such a trophy starved club .
 
TBF it's only been half their entire existence, over 60 years, since their last current major trophy ...

... sadly half of Wearside has 1973 as a PIN number so we can't be too smug.

Apologies for discussing football in general I thought it was allowed , the magpie nation were getting carried away when they got in to the top half of the league this along with Almiron prompted me to try and bring them back to Earth . Because I’m a Sunderland fan - OK

Mag related posts have their own thread on SMB. I find no reason to open it.
If it is only a Sunderland board why do have posters with a Newcastle Avatar?

Dred, I have a lot of admiration for your longevity, your stories, your wonderful avatar, your work with putting the flags out when most folk half your age can’t be arsed, your loyalty to your club, even the bait you take to away games.
Surely my avatar can’t upset you so much?

Not in the least. I was just pointing out to the poster that it does not seem to be a Sunderland only board.
