Sooosay Ramirez gets a chance and is completely average. Will people finally admitto moving on? Seriously it's kind of mad how some think Ramirez can suddenly turn us around.
Fair does, give him 5 games and if he is poor then we move on and you can say TOLD YOU SO

No one is saying Ramirez can on his own. It would just help to have him as an option from the bench at the very least. Every improvement is a good thing. You want to give yourself the best possible chance of picking up points. Having him on the bench every game this season and using him he'd have contributed a few goals directly by now imo. And we'd have a few extra points imo. He might have forced himself into the starting team. Rather than just playing ten minutes for an assist and getting us an extra point, then never getting to play again.

The question needs to be asked now. We have been abysmal for 5 or 6 games and we are struggling to score goals badly. For me if we don't win by the time we play Palace in the cup and we get knocked out then we need to seriously consider changing the manager. There are viable options out there. I really like Ron as a person but I'm starting to doubt his managerial skills.

I'm not surprised you started this.

For real. I've always backed Ramirez on this forum, but he's not some kind of team savior. I think it might be worth it to give him some games but it wouldn't surprise me at all if he's only average.

But if that did happen, I'm sure some people here would forget all about it and just start moaning that Davis should never have been taken out and now his confidence is shot etc.

You don't know. We don't know. It's just a guess. As is most things you wisely post after the event.

Just thinking aloud about managers for a moment. Who do you think are the best managers in the league? Who do you imagine would do a better job than Ron?
No idea. That's probably tongue-in-cheek of course. If you are going backwards fast there is arguably no harm in changing things and hoping the fortunes change. There's certainly no point sacking a manager if you don't have a good option to bring in. But if we lose the next three I expect he'll be sacked. Who knows, maybe he can turn it around? Arsenal at home is a game we'e done quite well in since coming up.

No, honestly, I read an article recently that showed in reality it makes bugger all difference.

When the time comes of Ron,'s choosing, I want Eddie Howe

Okay we agree on Davis \Ramirez, but I am concerned about our points, all teams are winning except Villa and Saints, and our confidence is shot ( see the second goal today, as poorest goal defensively as you will see)

Are they?

WBA have gone four games without a win, including a defeat today at home to Bournemouth. And have just one win in seven - the same as us.

Swansea have gone six games without a win (the same as us), and just one win in twelve - significantly worse than us.

West Ham have gone six games without a win (the same as us).

Sunderland have gone three games without a win.

Even Everton have only won one of their last six, and two of their ten. Whilst Chelsea have just two wins from their last eight games.

I'd say that is a lot more sides than just us and Villa.

Fair does, give him 5 games and if he is poor then we move on and you can say TOLD YOU SO

Depends on whether you want those five games to be from the bench, or from the start. I'd be delighted to give him five games from the bench. But from the start? Well unless he proves himself from the bench first, I'd rather not risk us wasting another five games on the off chance that he might do something, just to prove fans right or wrong. I'd rather trust what Ron sees in training, thanks.

Because he's not bern given game time, circular argument, but it did not stop getting Clasie game time

Let's be honest. Koeman had his mind made up about Ramirez before he even showed up at the club. He's beeen determined to play Clasie as it's his own signing, even when he was clearly unfit and off the pace. Clasie hasn't made it to the 80 minute mark yet

edit: edited this. not idea why I said the word striker, must have been an auto correct
