Ramirez has no future with the club because he is leaving no matter what happens. If we put him in and he was amazing, it only changes how big a contract he will get and which club he will go to.

It would also change how many points we would have at the end of the season..

No one's stats were bad today. We were undone by two horrendous plays. But those will just go down as 1 failed tackled by VVD, and nothing really against Bertrand or Cedric on the second for being out of position/losing their man..

Yes and may get us some valuable points that could be crucial come Msy, make no mistake we will be in a dog fight this year and we need to think 2016 and not 2017

And that's where stats are a fickle mistress.

Stats are good for the DM's imo. They are expected to be the ball winners and keep a high passing completion. Also good for looking at end product and creativity.

We all know that the defence was a shambles and it cost us. The entire back four was shocking defensively. And we should have capitalised on our dominance in the first half an hour when Tadic was causing them huge problems.

Highly unlikely he would have rescued a point for us today. If you want to play him over Davis, that might be a substantive change but for now we're just talking about who is on the bench and possibly used as a second half sub.

Yes, I agree, but it may also save us from relegation

Absolutely, they have their uses for sure.

Can you dig up another one? How many times has changing a manager mid-season actually positively impacted the overall performance of a team?

I was talking about over the course of the season, I wasn't saying today. We were probably dead at 2-0. Unlikely to rescue points yes, but not impossible. I'd rather Ramirez had come on instead of Junami (and Tadic was left on). The key is obviously to at least give yourself the best chance of getting back into a game when you are making subs as a manager, even if it's unlikely to get back to 2-2. Ramirez has come off the bench once (for 10 minutes) and rescued a point this season.

How Fo you know, when we look so impudent going forward, we only to change the status quo that looks do mundane at the moment. Ramirez has undoubted skill and good to that, albeit for 4 months

Are you pissed (don't blame you if you are. But you're not making much sense)?

No idea. That's probably tongue-in-cheek of course. If you are going backwards fast there is arguably no harm in changing things and hoping the fortunes change. There's certainly no point sacking a manager if you don't have a good option to bring in. But if we lose the next three I expect he'll be sacked. Who knows, maybe he can turn it around? Arsenal at home is a game we'e done quite well in since coming up.

I don't think we are in danger of relegation. Or if we are it will be due to some sort of team implosion/loss of confidence in Koeman.

At this point then, I'm not too concerned about the number of points we get. Might as well play the younger guys.

But I've always been less high on Davis and more high on Ramirez than most. So I don't have a problem if Koeman wants to use Ramirez. Ramirez is leaving, but Davis is old so either one is a short term solution anyway.

Just back from the game, yes Ron is under pressure and why shouldn't he be. Every other manager in the premier is. Saying that, to get shot of him now is madness but likewise Monk at Swansea, Jose at Chelsea, but the harsh reality of football today is the players hold the power.
If he can't get the team playing better in the next 3-4 games, he will be in serious trouble. Of course he's getting mad, it was only a few months ago he was being linked with Barcelona etc, so this is doing him no favours.
To me the big question is will he be backed in January? We are crying out for a powerful runner from central midfield and a new / different kind of striker from Pelle. Spurs out muscled and out fought us in midfield today even though I thought it was Clasies best game.
But there's a few managers out there with no job at present. Mr Moaninho anyone??

Okay we agree on Davis \Ramirez, but I am concerned about our points, all teams are winning except Villa and Saints, and our confidence is shot ( see the second goal today, as poorest goal defensively as you will see)

Sooo say Ramirez gets a chance and is completely average. Will people finally admit to moving on? Seriously it's kind of mad how some think Ramirez can suddenly turn us around.
