But ARE we "bossing possession"? Suppose the possession stats for a game are us 65%, them 35%. That doesn't mean we have "bossed" possession. What's crucial is whether or not we have imposed that distribution of possession on them. A boss makes what he wants to happen happen. In many cases, e.g. when we are playing a good counter-attacking side, we enjoy the bulk of possession precisely because that's what the opposition wants. In those games, they are doing the bossing. Either way, who wins is another question altogether.If we are bossing possession and snatching wins with lots of attacking intent we will start thrashing a few sides that want to attack us.
