Try Balsamic vinegar instead of mayo, yum!

    Perish the thought! <yikes>
I thought vinegar was primarily a preservative, used to pickle shallots, gherkins etc- not as a gravy substitute? :emoticon-0112-wonde

This thread has gone a tad off topic <laugh>

Perhaps we should start a 'what are you eating?' thread

We already have a beer and chips thread, which was adapted mainly for that very reason - but this festering grease-ridden hell hole in Long Stratton keeps occurring on totally random threads <wah>

It's just another flavour to me! Salt is also a preservative from days of yore before refrigeration reared it's ugly head, also now used as a flavouring!

Slightly off topic - I see that a glass of diluted apple cider vinegar can help reduce the sugar levels in the body - "It turned out that the cider vinegar, but not the malt vinegar, had a big impact, reducing the amount of sugar in the volunteers' blood by 36% over 90 minutes"

That's very interesting, thanks for that Bh, I've struggled lately with my blood sugars mainly due to excessive back pain. Pain apparently causes an increase in blood sugar levels. Mind you, I don't think the chocolate helps much in my case! ;)
