I love a good bit of banter, but terms such as "free country", "sheep" and "everyone's entitled to their opinion" don't really qualify. True as they may be, it spoils my fun ;)
 
My only issue with Tickler is the constant stating that certain teams are in such a mess as if it's accepted as fact. Lately he has a thing about Reading and Blackburn. I couldn't say why those two.

I don't see the issue with multi-quoting, it's the best way to respond to several people at once, especially if you've been off the site for a few days.

I've had run ins with TFT but I agree, variety is the spice and all that.

The great thing about this thread is the fact he really won't give a flying **** about how many people eighteenthed, nineteenthed or twentyethed it.

I understand how it works. The manager picks the team. The player wants to know what role the manager sees him playing before signing the contract the administrative staff and his agent have drawn up. I'm aware of players choosing to join one club over another because of how readily available the manager was for a face to face chat.

i misread that first time as he's either very thick skinned or metal. being metal would save having to have thick skin so it made sense at the time.
