Granted but would you argue that their standard of football was better than mid to lower league Premier? They attract as you say some decent foreigners and the occasional Englishman because of their involvement in the European football. Not withstanding the fact that because of the standard of opposition it is a bit easier to be involved in Europe. They do not appear to have any particular outstanding Scottish players judging by the Scottish international football team. Perhaps you would argue different......Some ok ones perhaps but not sure about outstanding ones.

Mid-lower PL at the moment (11th-17th) is QPR, Stoke, Swansea, West Brom, Fulham, Sunderland and Wolves - I wouldn't turn my nose up at some of their players! Celtic and Rangers are in their own little bubble away from the rest, so aren't really representative of Scottish football, which is by and large crap. There is the odd gem to be found in the rest of the SPL, so it's worth keeping an eye on. I'm glad I'm not the scout in charge of that though!
