Remember McCall and Lambert both failed in their first jobs in football ,Mccoist would have been sacked if your club hadn't gone into Administration . This morning a spurs fan on Talksport wanted Redknapp out and replaced by Lennon ,loves his passion , least Lennon talent is getting noticed down south.
Fair enough with the McCoist thing, but you could argue Lennon could have been sacked himself last season, but for the external stuff he couldn't control. I mean he said himself at the weekend that winning cups doesn't cut it you have to win the league. So the pair of them are similar in that they kept their jobs without any real success in their first season (admittedly Lennon won a cup and was up against a vastly more experienced and successful boss like Smith).
Maybe Spurs will keep Redknapp and Lennon will get the England job! I actually think Lennon will leave in the summer, that's not me trying to provoke a response just my personal opinion.
What route do you think is best for a manager to follow though? Just take over a top club or work your way up through the ranks?
