So, what's happening?
Am l being locked out just because of the ball tampering?
Is McClaren still coming to us?
Has McClaren heard about his proposed budget and is stalling?
Will McClaren work under Sir Les?
Is TF stalling because he's found out McClaren management record?
Is TF waiting to see if Harrys knees are up to it again?
Is it because the club is sounding out Conte?
Is Wenger prepared to commit already?

So many questions and so little answers!

I am sure we will see millions of ITK's and rumours coming out. I am not going to waste time reading them. I will wait and see.

I don't think Paul Parker expects McClaren to manage us ...

Fair point, we've all been debating his credentials and the pros and cons of his CV with no definitive consensus amongst us. If he did come and it didn't go well that could well be it for his managerial career.

There's no gauge for comparison apart from performances and points. Nobody else was in charge this season! Performance improvement......a definate no in my opinion. Points improvement.....yes by 3.
We finished 15 points outside the relegation places, last season we were 2 points from the drop. We'll have to agree to disagree on the performances, we've been hugely inconsistent but at times we've played some good stuff. When our midfield 3 tick we look good and latterly the young ones have brought some much needed energy to the side, so while we may not be Barca yet I think we do look better than last season. But it's all opinions at the end of the day.

Agree, and what did FFP have to do with it? It hasn't even happened yet. He had a good enough squad.
The problem with Hollow was that he was too eratic.
Bit facetious. We don't know the FFP outcome yet but it's clearly already impacting and dictating our spending policy (i.e. we cant). This has been an important transitional season and Ollie did what was necessary. I'd agree his team selections have been seemingly random which probably hasn't helped. We don't really know that blooding youngsters was part of the remit for this season so in a way he may even have achieved more than expected. I'm not saying he was the messiah or even that he's the right man but he did a good job in the circumstances. Just out of interest you say he had a good enough squad, for what? And based on what? We finished 18th last season and didn't sign anyone.

This sounds a real cockup...have we have got rid of a guy that loves us, has a year left on his contract and who did exactly what we have asked of him

and we have no one lined up.

Can I believe this of my club

yes
How do you know that Beth? You are just speculating. They wouldn't have got rid of Hollow without having something planned.
As for 'have we have got rid of a guy that loves us'. Personally, I would rather have someone who doesn't like us but gets us playing good football and knows how to win away.

To win away to be able to beat teams that everyone else could. Look at the names in the team and the internationals, then compare that to say Millwall or Preston. That should speak volumes.
I don't want to get into a debate about Hollow and his limitations. I said before he came in and while he was manager, that he was not good enough. Some QPR fans were living in the past. Holloway is a poor manager and sadly he has got worse over time. His formations/team selections/substitutions were bizarre. His interviews were bizarre.
I keep hearing how he loves the club and a supporter yet as soon as he found out TF wasn't happy he committed his future to the club so he could get sacked?
Sorry but I am a realist and put the club before a manger.

this could be debated till the end of time. Olly (in my opinion) did well with the restrictions he had imposed on him. Maybe he was placed to partly appease fans as he is one of our own, and, show that he can reduce the wage bill, size of squad. I do not believe that he was ever going to last beyond his initial contract and this has ended early. That being said, I would have liked to have seen him have one more year to finish his contract for the reason that he has started to give youngsters a chance and that is something that has been sadly missing with previous managers. If McClaren had been brought in permanently as a number 2 then the players would be working with a QPR man that is infectious and an ex-England manager who has experience of working overseas.

Opinions opinions opinions. At the end of the day we all want what is best for our club....we just all have differing views on how to do this!!

And what exactly was asked of him? Let's
Not forget the reason for sacking JFH. To try push for play offs. A tad unrealistic maybe but that was the reason given. If the owners asked for an abysmal away record, players playing totally out of position, a crazy formation, signing as many wingers as possible but not playing with wingers, post match interview after interview saying that's the worst I've seen us since I've been here! Then yes he will have done what was asked of him. Empty bums on seats due to shockingly poor football resulted in his departure. At home to Preston and away at Leeds were frankly embarrassng
For a professional football team on wages of 20 odd grand.

I've heard from a reliable source that there are to be redundancies made at the club, including Ollies PA, which he was not happy about when he met with TF, Les and Hoos on Thursday - whether that had any bearing on the boards decision to move on to a new manager we'll probably never know (until he writes a book?)

mmm, I cant see why we would sack Holloway if it is money related. McClaren must command more than Hollow.

Depends how much of a fuss he made, I suppose, but giving him the sack and paying off his remaining contract is obviously not the act of a spend-thrift - results, performance and bums-on-seats I'd imagine are much more likely reasons. Time will tell as to whether the board have made the right decision, we should have a good idea by Christmas-time - fingers crossed it all works out, and doesn't end in tears (again....)

We got rid off Ollie on Tuesday or Wednesday...have been away so not sure....It is now Sunday
If he was lined up...it would heve been announced. That is why I said it.... I have done a bit of HR in my time

TF thought he had a catch, but now we got rid of Ollie, McLaren is prevaricating.

Beth, how do you know that?
Arsen Wenger quit recently so why have Arse not named a successor?
It might have something to do with not announcing it yet, that's all. I don't see a major conspiracy because we haven't appointed a new manager after 4 days. I don't know, maybe TF won't rush into something. I did read however that many managers have enquired after the job maybe TF has seen something better.

'Shockingly poor football' - Am I the only person who enjoyed most of the football played this season. Lots of home wins against good sides, nearly always a ' never give up' attitude, youngsters coming through. To only name Preston at home and Leeds away doesn't tell the whole story. What about Wolves and Cardiff at home or Villa away?

Yeah, I enjoyed a lot of the season - but then I didn't go to any away games. If it is to be McLaren, we will undoubtedly gain in coaching ability, but Holloway's infectious passion for the club will be a significant loss.

I actually enjoyed a lot of the matches....and the never say die attitude was a joy (Brentford at home).
I went to 5 away matches.....and in only one ( Forest) were we awful.
Burton we won.Millwall (we really should have drawn that (?Bidwell penalty)..and we never gave up.
Brentford and Reading:- we were never outplayed and a natural goalscorer would have given us 1 if not all 3 points.

I remember the JFH when we sat in fear, awaiting the inevitable opposition goal, because we were just never set up to score a goal at anytime unless Chery got a free kick.
Ollies teams really tried and played for the badge.
Last season I do not think I ever accused a single player of not trying... afew I did not think were good enough to play at Champioship level...but even they gave their all.

I never said that I thought Ollie was the answer to our problems. I do think this move was one season too early
