Ever had dysentery Ernie...Kinnel, world's gone mad and no mistake.
You'd'ha once flipped the offending log out with the non-mouth end of ya snorkel and everyone could'ha got on with enjoying their holiday.

I expect they'd poured a few bottles of Dettol in it...Update: when they did re-open the pool, everyone just stood around looking at each other. No one wanted to be first.
Then some smashed brit just cannon balled...poo induced paralysis resolved!

Hope ya don't feel **** Idi.The wife asked when it would re-open, which led me to Google.
Internet says a solid can be open as quick as 30 mins, a slopster upto 12 hrs.
Not sure how we landed on 3hrs. But it involved upping the chlorine for a period of time.
Let's see how i feel tomorrow.

It was a stunning building and certainly left a deep impression in my mind as my memories are unbelievably clear from as long as 55 years ago.Not only still there, but they had a £4m renovation a few years back.

I'll need to find time to visit them next time I'm down![]()
Jack Hale was a legendI remember it well also - Albert Avenue pool as well, if that still exists.
Got swimming badges in both, trained by a very decent fella called Terry Glenville. Jack Hale, and his wife, were also trainers there in the late 1970s.
