People who've got rid of all their staff and still have a business to run.

I promised my missus I wouldn't take mine on our last two holidays, but it does cause me some issues and that's even when I've arranged the holidays during my quietest time.
That’s not a holiday though…that’s just working a few less hours somewhere else

The story is a judicial system that is being stripped to the bone and falling apart, so she hasn't been processed for two weeks.. it's not about being punished for a minor visa issue. I know plenty of Irish lads who overstayed their US 104 week under-24 work visas back in the 1990s and they got a bollocking on their exit and told not to return for 2/3 years.. didn't get put in a cell.

I wonder if she's had her time in court yet.
Story got dropped like a hot potato.

Went there on a friends recommendation, he loved it, went year after year. Me? it was alright, bit like Teneriffe but not as big and noisy.
Bad start for us. Our hotel room was infested with cockroaches and I had to literally threaten the bloke on the reception desk to move us. That took three days out of our one week holiday.
We were close to a bazar type of place with loads of bars offering free tots and stuff, so you could get arseholed pretty cheap, if you wanted too.
Nice beach close by and a better one if you were prepared to walk across some sand dunes like Lawrence of Arabia.

Gran Canaria is great; Puerto Rico is basically a nice resort - depends on your accommodation of course as there's a lot of different apartments there. Loads of bars/ restaurants with a nice vibe. We go to GC once a year but usually stay in Puerto Mogan which is further along the coast. Puerto Rico has a nice harbour with ferries that run to various other resorts. A trip to Puerto Mogan is a good day out. You can also walk along the coast to Amadores which is good. Great places for lunch/ drinks. Really good bus service along the whole tourist coast and up to Las Palmas. Weather is usually spot on.
