I absolutely love kayaking and have gradually progressed where I can now go down white water rivers..

Loved Sri Lanka, people are amazing and the country is a beautiful place.....Worst experience has been Turkey for me, I became very ill and found the people way too aggressive, but that was a long time ago, maybe should give it another try sometime.

Just watching Nacho and Vince having a cosy chat while all hell brakes lose around them and I thought talking about holidays is worthy of its own thread.

So what's your best holiday destination and what has been your worst? Where would you love to visit but haven't got around to going yet?

I don't think it's going to surprise anybody but my favourite place to go is Arnhem. I loved Florida and everything it had to offer, I'd also love to go back to Jamaica as my memory is very sketchy from back then. Arnhem is where the heart is at.

Worst destination has to be Turkey. It was full of Turkish people and I didn't like it. The creepy locals and all of the pressuring they put on you, did not make for a good trip and I flew home 4 days early.

Places I will definitely be visiting over the coming years... definitely Jamaica again but also Cuba and Thailand are places that I need to go.

Best is probably Orlando, just cos it is cheap as chips to eat and drink plus there's everything you need there.

Worst is Spain, 'Calella' cos I have very bad memories of getting arrested for fighting with a German piss head. We were both pissed and he decided he should be in front of me in the queue at one of those roast chicken places, I took offence and he started with his attitude so I chinned him. Next thing I knew I was handcuffed to a railing with some Spanish copper waving his gun at me. Spent the night in the cells and was let go the next morning and never been back since.

I've never been to the far east so would like to tick that one off my bucket list. Also Nashville appeals to me.

Portugal seems to be a disaster for British families.

Yeah I don't like touristy places. I remember walking around the main strip in Tenerife one night and I may as well have been walking down Jarrow high street.

It really did put a dampener on things because it no longer felt like a holiday. Going off the beaten track and get into the local neighbourhoods is right up my street.
I go to Portugal every year mate, a little fishing village called Burgau. Only one hotel, about twenty bars and restaurants and the people are fantastic. Also been to albufiera a few times, and Tavira, but Burgau is my favourite. Been to Vernazza (Cinque Terra) in Italy this year. Beautiful place, Santorini next month. Fantastic views but nowhere imo beats Portugal. Went to Strasbourg last year because I got flights for £3 and that was really nice as well!

Hoping on xmas new year away.

Even took a 2-10 job to keep me out of trouble.

I may return to thailand. Be nice to be a tourist again. But Vietnam. Hong kong or Philipines also looking good.

It was a close to the bone, tongue in cheek response mate.

That sounds lovely, though. It's a place I've never visited. My aunty had a property out there but she ****ed her bloke off and sold up before I got to go out there.

Where are you pulling flights from for £3? Bang on that. I was thinking of you again a couple of weeks ago when I went back to Peterlee for my trial. I went in a different way this time and seen a part I've never seen before, looked nice.

Had some food at the Sambacu you have at the town centre. Changed my mind about the place now I've spent a bit more time there. Good people that's for sure.

The drawback was they were from Stansead.

I live in the Oakerside area right on the dene, it's really nice. I avoid the town centre if I can, dreadful place.

Hope the trial went OK.

I can't fathom how an airline can sell flights for £3, do you have eight people sitting on your knee? Or does every seat have pedals and if you slack off you get a cattle prod to the neck?

I got a walk out. The witnesses didn't show up against me, so I walked in and the judge dismissed the case. That's it, it's over.
