People need to realise the way Arsenal conduct their business, you will never hear rumours from within the club.

Arsenal will conduct their business professionally and privately, they have no obligation to inform fans or the waiting world
.

<ok>

This is of course the way we have always done things

Questions will need to be asked if no-one comes in before mid-July.

It is, quite frankly, ridiculous that nothing has happened yet. Arsenal are so slow at transfers these days.

I think it's far more important that player are signed before August 17th.Why would questions need to be asked if no-one comes in before mid July ?

Maybe his broadband gets cut off that day and he will have trouble keeping up with the transfer rumours thereafter?

:p

Was listening to the world football phone in podcast, and there was a question put to Tim Vickery (South American football expert) about Higuain and he thinks Higuain would be the perfect forward for us and I definitely agree with him, which is why me and also many other Arsenal fans are so anxious about this deal. If it falls through, we would have missed out an excellent footballer and also how many other top forwards are actually willing to come to a club like Arsenal, considering the competition we face for those players? With Higuain, it feels like we can get him, so to in the end possibly miss out on him, would be hard to take.

I was also listening to Mr Vickery in the early hours of this morning.Do you think he's been paid by Italian TV yet ?<laugh>

Because you want players to have a full pre-season with their new team. Otherwise it takes the first 4 - 6 weeks (and longer) of the season for them to build the understanding with other players. I would have thought that was very obvious?

If what Perez says is true it just shows the stupidity of listening to transfer gossip

Sure but Higuains father confirmed we asked Real if we could speak to Gonzalo.

So there is some interest but we hav'nt made an actual bid for the player.

Despite the fact we do actually have a sizeable budget this year - we will still probably hang around and search for deals on the final day of the deadline.

This is a crucial deadline for Wenger - if we dont improve next Season I guarantee the majority of AFC fans will finally turn against him.

If they do it's the clubs own fault for making those stupid comments about how much money they've got to spend

Yeah I know,

Fans know we have money available now. The board have pushed the pressure back on to the boss - therefore if his transfer decisions dont work the blame is fully on him.

No it's not... it will be Wenger's fault for not spending it. Whether or not the fans know we have the money to spend is irrelevant. If we didn't know we had money, the blame would still lie with Wenger, the fans just wouldn't know that it did.

I think we may have to wait until late in the transfer window for Higuain.

At this point, if we say 30M Perez will just say, "Sorry, did I say 30M, I meant 40M," and keep on like that, no matter what we offer. Unless it comes down to them needing cash, or they are in danger of having a pissed off player left on their books, there is no incentive for them to sell.

I think it will happen, but unfortunately it is going to be a deal that drags on.

It's not just gossip, Higuain's father and brother confirmed our interest in Higuain, so he is a player that we are after.
Some papers last week were saying Higuain was due in London for a medical or that the deal to sign him was done.As I say if what Perez is saying is true it's shows the stupidity of listening to transfer gossip.
