I got a job as a bin man. I asked the boss if I would receive any training and he said not and that I'd pick it up as I went along.

I've been to Somalia three times. It must be said that Mogadishu is a pretty desperate place. It is on a par with Ethiopia and Sudan for levels of poverty and inequality. Having said that, the Palms was a delightful place to stay and the staff were incredibly polite and helpful.
