I had not been on here for a few days so can I first say sorry to hear what has happened and my thoughts are with you and your family. It's been great to see the updates showing that you are taking your first steps on what will be a long road back to full health. I hope that you as I have taken the time to catch up on all the comments from fans all over the country cos I think some times in life we just don’t realise how missed we would be until it’s too late. Ash pal get well soon now is not your time too many people love you and would miss you any time you fancy a chat loads are ready to listen.

Hope everything keeps improving and time treats him well. Keep fighting positively Ash.

Let's remember though, that even if Ash gets all his faculties back (fingers crossed he does of course), it'll take time for him to re-orientate with everything in every way. Coma suggests he wasn't expecting an encore and if that's the case, he'll need to find real solid ground before we've got the faintest hope of getting him back on here properly.

fantastic to hear that news out here in sunny Colombia and from reading the messages its clear there are people from all over the world and supporters of lots of different teams coming together wishing you the best - we re all rooting for you Ash!
 
hiya guys.

another wet morning here, and here i am having a ciggy.in it.

everyone has been with him overnight. hes rested well and has also spoken a fair bit. hes very shocked and ashamed of what he tried to do and says he felt stuck in a hard place. hes admitted heneeds help to destroy his childhood demons as he couldnt destroy them on his own in the 25 years hes tried.

he has seen all the kind words from on here, they were printed for me by a it shop. it upset him greatly, but.in a touching way. hr says hello.

will let you all know his scan results later as they should be back this morning.

Tell him that there is absolutely no need to feel ashamed I have had many colleagues stuck in the downward spiral too, when he feels like it he is more than welcome to chat with me if he wants to face to face or if not over the phone or by pm . There is no pressure and I think it might be of bebefit to him. Thanks steve for all your efforts , you truly are a good mate!

I'm sure I speak on behalf of all football fans in saying it's great to hear Ash is on the road to recovery and all bodes well for him. Now keep it going and take all the help the health service can offer, here's to seeing Ash back on the boards sooner rather than later.
