Hope it goes well Badger, Billy over on the Sunderland board got over £1,000.00 for his appeal when his wife died.

I hope your mam will make a full recovery from it. It's a terrible thing but it can be beaten. Fingers crossed for her.

    Mother <ok>

Unfortunately, recovery seems impossible. But, stranger things have happened, and I wouldn't put it past my mam to out live me!

Sorry to hear the sad news. Have posted this on our (Norwich) board.
Just an idea for you to think about. Would it be possible to arrange a charity 'derby' match, between yourselves and Sunderland?
Could raise a fair few quid.
There is another suggestion, that I will pm you.

Pushing that idea even further, how about 'derby match between yourselves and the Sunderland fans off not606?

Every player could pay £1 entry. I'm sure wives and girlfriends could help out with teas coffees etc.

This is the first threat that has made me log on in over three days.

Badger mate, I can totally sympathise with you lad & I am very well placed to know how you are feeling.

Hopefully, the worst wont happen & I sincerely wish the lass all the best lad.

When something happens people just keep saying "I am so sorry" because they are at a loss as what else to say.

I just kept thinking, "ok mate, it's not your fault. You've nowt to be sorry for".

I was surprised at how folk pulled together on here when Janie died considering there is only one person on here that I personally know.
I shouldn't have been. The North East people are generally, warm, kind, honest, caring people who do things like that when the chips are down for one of them.

The donations will start rolling in once world gets around bud. I got some from Watford, Southampton, West Ham, Chelsea fans as well as from both our clubs of course, purely because of me talking to fans on other boards.

I don't have a credit or debit card but will certainly make a donation if I can use paypal or something. Failing that I will do it at one of their shops.

All the very best to you.

As Billy has said, it's times like this when we prove that we can all pull together, and nobody knows better than Billy.

He's been through it and suffered a hell of a lot, but got a little consolation in knowing that so many people from far and wide cared enough to help.

    Sorry to hear this mate.

I don't know how into music/bands you are, but putting on a charity gig is a great fundraiser. Loads of local bands would play for free, partly for the charity and partly for the experience/exposure. Plus, if each band has an average of 4 people in it, they bring a few friends and family each, you've got a big crowd all willing to pay money!

We've already got a band + DJ who are playing for free.

We've got a sold out guest list, and we've made sure a funny money men are going to be there hopefully to bid high <laugh>

Looking forward to it. Cheers to the lads who have donated, you have no idea how much it means.
