This describes my 64 year old sisters experience with the DWP, they claimed she wasn't making enough of an effort to find employment. Who the **** takes on 64 year old women. She had no income for more than a month so had no option but to visit her local food bank to feed herself and her son, he suffers from Asperger syndrome. He's the smartest and brightest lad you could meet until you actually try to interact with him and then he just collapses into himself. He can't be left alone, what should she do?
She cried because of the shame she felt taking a food parcel, she cried because she couldn't look after her son. She cried because at the age of 64 she was reduced to taking charity for the first time in her life.
The worst part is she is allowed to do charity work, she worked for the Sally Bash 2 half days a week but she is classed as not looking for work because she can't find a proper paid job. This is the only work she can find.
This is what the Tories do, they push the hopeless, the needy, the none productive to the edges of society and let charities provide for them. I've helped when I can but I have no income, I'm living on my savings and will do until my pensions kick in which is in 3 years time.
If you vote Tory or champion Boris you are complicit in creating this new underclass that has no means to support themselves, these are the people who need the help food banks provide. Of course some will take advantage of the situation as master-simpson says but that doesn't mean they all are overweight scroungers as he describes them.
There are some people on this board that think a big Tory victory is a good thing, in fact they seem to be celebrating it. It ****ing isn't, it's a disaster for those who can't support themselves.I despair for the poor and unwanted when I read some of the posts on here.

NOC won in Durham
But what does noc mean @Sunderpitt
The brioche thing is exactly right. As for History being subjective, that's only true to a certain extent. Historical research is based on the available evidence. Sometimes that is irrefutable, sometimes its not. Sometimes you need opinion or theory (which should always be based on context and supportive evidence itself) to fill in the gaps. It is, however, widely open to political manipulation.History isn't indisputable fact or irrefutable truth at all. It's incredibly subjective and tends to be written in the point of view of the people who wrote said history.
The Marie Antoinette thing is funny. Its 100% certain that she never said "let them eat cake."
Because the quote she is widely accredited with but commonly disputed to have said is a mistranslation of "brioche" which is in itself not cake at all. It's ****ing bread.
History is subjective.
Yeah, I believe some sources state that it was "well-known princess" or something but nothing more specific. Interesting about the Chinese translation.!00% agree. As they say there are 2 sides to every argument.
In relation to politics people will always have differing opinions based upon how certain policies may have affected them personally.
On the Marie Antoinette "thing" there's even notations that Louis (i think) relates how he'd heard it said of a Spanish queen or princess some 150 years earlier. There's even a chinese translation form 500-1000 years before that.
Exactly the same thing happened to my sister totally paralysed after contacting G B syndrome after three months she was told she had to pay £100+ a week to keep her carers out of £70 benefit she couldn’t so they left never to be seen again, funny thing was that was 2 years before the conservatives won the election. They are all c unts mate sooner people realise that the better. This describes my 64 year old sisters experience with the DWP, they claimed she wasn't making enough of an effort to find employment. If you genuinely believe the absolute rubbish that you have written in this post, and many others, please do put me on ignore. It will save me falling the down the rabbit hole of conversing with you in future. No I do not know better. I know exactly the same as the "world leading historians" in that none of us can say with any certainty whether it happened because a. We were not there at the time. and b. There is no evidence either way because it was so long ago. You can have as many theories as you like it does not prove it either way. So it is just as likely to have happened as not happened. I will not reply to your nonsense any more as you have not provided the irrefutable proof I asked for and someone on wikipedia saying it "probably" didn't happen is a guess. Continue with your nonsense and I will put you on ignore.
Your wish is my command. ByeeeeIf you genuinely believe the absolute rubbish that you have written in this post, and many others, please do put me ignore. It will save me falling the down the rabbit hole of conversing with you in future.

The chinese translation is when there was allegedly a shortage of rice and the prince or whoever he was was supposed to have said "well let them eat porridge and meat"Yeah, I believe some sources state that it was "well-known princess" or something but nothing more specific. I think to call history subjective is an oversimplification. Its not, for example, like asking the question "is cake nice?". Any statement that you make regarding history has to be based in evidential proof, even if interpretations differ. This is why things like suggestions that women served in the Roman army, despite some people's assertions, are dismissed- because there is no evidential proof (although it is now thought that there were female civilians attached to the legions), but bizarre interpretations such as ancient Germanic warriors being so good at fighting that they didn't need shields, were accepted for a time (there was an Iron Age (I think) cemetery excavated in which men were buried with full sets of weapons but no shields). In most places now, its not possible to be taken seriously without supplying substantive evidence, whereas in the past a lot of theories were accepted with what we would now consider to be very little question. So, as you say, context plays a role, there will always be room for interpretation surrounding much evidence, and in some places history remains open to political manipulation, but I think to call it subjective does a discredit to a lot of peoples' hard work. The specific events and timelines aren't really up for debate given accurate dating but the context in which events and timelines are viewed is incredibly subjective.
People, and entire peoples are viewed through the lens of whoever wrote/keep writing the history books.
Marie Antoinette's words were written by the movement who stormed the Bastille etc and that became history because it made sense of overthrowing and executing them, until history was written by those without the chip on their shoulder about her.
Look at First Nations People from Australia.
Once upon a time, the "Aborigines" were written as a race of nomadic savages because it fit our purpose of colonisation.
Now, because genocide doesn't really do us any favours, we actually don't even class them as one race and rather multiple races, with different cultures, and different languages.
History is always changing given the context in which we view facts.
Oh yes, I did know that one. I think its quite interesting how these types of thing have supposedly been said by a variety of different people. The chinese translation is when there was allegedly a shortage of rice and the prince or whoever he was was supposed to have said "well let them eat porridge and meat"
Spot on. Anyone who thinks the "heartless Tories" are the bane of the disabled should know that Labour are just as ****e. My lad, who is totally disabled was born in 1998 (Prime Minister T. Blair) and his whole life has been a battle of us vs the system through a further series of governments (Labour, Tory/Lib Dem coalition & Tory) and Prime Ministers (Blair, Brown, Cameron, May & Johnson). None of these ****ers are around long enough to warrant wasting their "legacy" on the truly needy...Exactly the same thing happened to my sister totally paralysed after contacting G B syndrome after three months she was told she had to pay £100+ a week to keep her carers out of £70 benefit she couldn’t so they left never to be seen again, funny thing was that was 2 years before the conservatives won the election. What I said was it is the Tories who have been in government for 11 years but people interviewed saying voting Tory for change. Between you and me the country was never better off either before or since last time Labour in government. This epitomises every thing wrong with the Labour party, its like you wrote their manifesto. The Tories are **** so vote for us. We have no credible policies , no credible leader but we are better than them. Laughable at best
