Is this court case likely to blot his copy book with England in the same way Terry Venables' court case did after the 96 Euros?

Always thought Harrry was dodgy as hell but can't see a better English man with the credentials to take over from Capello.

Assuming he's found guilty, which is looking fairly likely, the FA won't touch him with a barge pole.

If he is found guilty probably get a suspended prison sentence, and pay the money owed. I think the governemet would sooner have the money, rather than send him to prison which cost money.

And that would be a good thing ?

I don't know. But as things stand it seems he's the only candidate, but I don't have a lot of time for him tbh.

I've quite liked Tottenham for the last few years because they have several players I like for a variety of reasons, but it seems to me that Redknapp took ages to get them playing to their potential and whenever they lose or drop points he has no explanation for it and just points out that they usually win, fans don't want to hear that when they've lost.

He's one of the last old-school ones, last season he cost Spurs a lot by overusing Crouch I thought

Completely agree. Jermaine Defoe is one of the most talented natural strikers in the country but he's wasted the last few years of his career being forced off the pitch by big ugly strikers like Crouch. It took Redknapp over a year to figure out that he could play Van Der Vaart and Defoe in the same team.

I don't know who I'd have as England manager really, personally I think we're shooting ourselves in the foot by ruling out anyone foreign when there are no obvious English candidates.

Harry is the best English manager @ the min! Stats don't lie

Well they do.

And what stats are we talking about? He's got a team with one of the biggest wage bills to one of the highest positions? That's a similar achievement to PB getting us to 18th in the PL with a **** team. Just kind of what's expected.

I can't think of anyone else half decent off the top of my head so maybe by default he is the best English manager around, don't see what's wrong with a foreign one though.

I don't give a **** where the manager of our national team comes from, I just want to see us win something, I'd go for Hiddink.

I think 'arry's blown it, if we go English, Pardew is more likely to get it now and I can't stand him.

As long as they manage to learn clear English quickly enough I dont mind it being a foreign manager. If we cant understand him how do they expect the team to understand him.

HMRC wouldn't have taken him to court if they didn't think he would go to jail. They could have insisted on the tax and NIC plus penalties and interest and Redknapp would have accepted it if he had been sensible. Denying it in the face of overwhelming evidence seems madness.

If our current crop of players get the manager they deserve there is only one candidate - Step forward Mr Pearson.

So Harry opened an offshore account in his dogs name. Harry,s defence say they are barking up the wrong tree..

I think it was a bit out of their hands, it's been the CID that have been pushing this case to court, they've been chasing him for years.

The reason they took him to court was get their money, what happens after that, whether he goes to jail or not I am sure HMRC have no concern.
