I would have to conclude that SB has been considerably more successful than Sunderland since they parted company. You are a much bigger club than we are but from the outside it must seem the other way round.
It is amazing how we have taken on so many of your cast offs and most are doing very well.
Difficult to have imagined the scenario of tomorrows match were if we win you will probably finish below us in the league.

Are you serious, did we miss something ........ there's a handful of games been played,

If Hull lose tomorrow then you haven't won for 5 games, going backwards and already out of one cup competition.

If that's what you call 'successful' then fair enough I suppose.

Keeping you up will be a success. Getting a team up is a lot easier. We should know having yo-yo'd before our current run in the Prem.

I think we will have played more than a quarter of our games after this one.I think a 10 point lead ,considering the way both teams are playing, should probably be enough to keep us above you.We do need 6 points from the next 3 games to keep up our chances of avoiding relegation.I think the best we can hope for is yo yoing for a few years. We are in that group of teams headed by West Ham and yourselves who will go up and down. You are big enough to be pretty sure of a swift return-we are not.
I think you must give Bruce credit for his great signings eg Huddlestone and the way he has got your ex players to gel so well.
The fact you sacked him imo is fair enough.sometimes things just do not click.
If our owner can bring in foreign investment we may become a much "bigger" club financially. The Prem payments now being paid can turn the likes of us into a bigger buying club than the likes of Leeds-as we accept have a vastly bigger fan base. This does still require good housekeeping.
4 years ago we were a much smaller club than Celtic. The Prem payments will make us bigger with every season we can hang on.
The big problem for yourselves and Newcastle will be getting top players to move to the North East. The Bent/Gyan/Sess examples show how hard it is to keep players if you are far away from fashion centres

You Newcastle supporters are experts at rewriting history.

You even believe that the Mickey Mouse 'toss of a coin' competition you won was the UEFA Cup <laugh>

Shepherd sacked him. No-one booed him, certainly not spat at. Unless you know better?

It was on Look North mate.

They were interviewing the supporters before the next match and they were saying things like, "He's taken us as far as he can but we need someone younger and better to take us to the next level"

This was around the time that the club, and supporters, were saying that the Newcastle managers job was one of the top jobs in the world, now you have Pardew.

The supporters were quite insulting of Robson and made him out to be some kind of senile old fool who couldn't handle the players at Newcastle.

I remember being relieved when the crowd turned on him because I was terrified that he would win something, he was that good.

I know his family, from Langley Park and the pits, although I never met him despite having a few chances. I always thought there'd be another chance <doh>

Hat, you lot got him sacked through deluded dreams, i love sir bobby, grew up watching ipswich imo the best england manager of my lifetime and would have eventually brought you success, sorry pal the way he was treated was a disgrace.

I've met quite a few mags who agree, never met a poster from the dark side who admitted it though

He was a real problem for me.

I couldn't hate him because he was such a wonderful man. My family were all Durham miners and our families had loose connections so would see each other at Durham Big Meeting.

The only Newcastle manager I couldn't hate although Pardew is becoming a favourite of mine <laugh>

Agree, it was a disgrace to sack him. Shepherd did that. He wasn't abused or spat at. And don't get on your high horse "pal". You can't remember the sick songs you sang about him?

Of course he did, he was the only person with the authority to do that but the supporters were totally behind it.

Can you tell me, what protests, marches & boycoutts did the Newcastle supporters organise to display their outrage at his sacking?

I can tell you mate ......... **** all, they were given more promises, swallowed them and didn't give a **** about Bobby Robson.

TBH, I've never seen a Mag agree with anything on here ...... makes you wonder why you come on, unless it's for an argument <laugh>

Strange to see a Mag on here at the moment though ....... dunno if they're sulking because their hero, Albert, has been banned or because they lost another derby though.

I thought you'd stay away, in protest, after the way you were apologising and arse licking Albert the other day.

I apologised for going OTT. Not arselicking. I come on here because it used to be good craic. Gone right downhill the last couple of weeks.

But you hadn't gone OTT, you made some fair points I thought.

I couldn't believe it when you went crawling to him TBH, I've no idea why you allow such a loser to totally dominate your board.

Every time he says, "Good luck lads, be careful out there," to people actually going to matches it makes me cringe <doh>

He was posting on the Sunderland board during the derby ffs having made no attempt to go to the match.
