No other owner would want to change the name to Hull Tigers. It's nonsensical and toxic, and therefore it doesn't make financial sense
Only reporting what I've heard; perhaps that's why Allam is so doggedly pursuing the name change, even though it is proving absolutely toxic to the club and may even be a factor that ends up relegating us

Sorry
I wasn't suggesting you'd invented the story, I just can't see it that's all

I hope we never see it! You would think a recipe for instant success for any new owner would be publicly pledging not to change the name to Hull Tigers....unfortunately, I wouldn't be surprised if we ended up with people who had never heard of Hull owning the club, in which case I may be being hopelessly naive and optimistic

Kevin Kilbane, spoke against the name change whilst commentating on last nights game.

What Kevin Kilbane actually said was ".... well, I'm an old school conservative type. So, I'd probably be against the name change..."

And that says it all for me... impede progress, stay in the "good old days", don't try anything new, don't leave your comfort zone......

What do you think would progress positively by changing the name?

I just can't see him selling us to someone he thinks is liable to make a success of it. He'll want it turn to ratshit without his 'guiding hand'.

There may be trouble ahead :emoticon-0159-music

There may be, but he'll be seen in the same light as Adam Pearson. I think he sees him self as being above Adam Pearson and the Needlers and every other owner we've had. It will be about legacy when he sells.

Doing something stupid isn't progress, it's simply stupid.
