The glorious South
As a Saint, I must say I've nothing negative to say about him, but was unsure how you boys would take to him, he does seem to be a bit of a southerner.
So, whats the general consensus, looking forward to a season starting under his guidance or dreading it?

Seemed to do well, especially after Carroll left and we were 4-0 down at half time at home to Arsenal. Will be judged on next seasons performance and who he's allowed to bring in.

He's done well under the circumstances. Was always going to be difficult to fill Chris Hughton's boots after what he achieved but he's gone on his business quietly and efficiently and I've been pleased with him thus far. If he can get us another 4-6 quality players before the window ends then I'll be heading into the new season in a confident mood <ok>

I'm going to reserve judgement until January when hopefully his signings and his team will have a fee games under it's let. So far though he's made the right noises for me..

Did the best he could I think after he took over, what with Carrollgate and the mass amounts of injuries we had (something like 11 or something players out at once?)

jury will be out on him fully by december -- after the window and the first few months of his reign. the team he adopted was Hughton's team. he's moulding it into his team and we'll get to see how that does.

possibly says too much of the same stuff. seems like a nice bloke though.

I like him. <ok>

I thought he did a great job at West Ham and didn't deserve to be sacked. Solid at Charlton and Southampton and so far he's done a decent job here. The coming season is the acid test for him though, I think he'll do well.

I like his character, and he seems to have a level head. Probably tactically better than Chris, but this summer will define his ambition for me <ok>

Wasn't he sacked for personal reasons though and not team failure?

hes done miles better than i thought he would and he hasnt tried to fix things that werent broken, which is often the main downfall of a manager.

he seems to advocate an attractive passing style and hopefully we will see that style come into force next season, personally i like him i dont rate him better or worse than hughton.

I see stable progress under Pardew, something we haven't seen for yonks! I'm waiting until 2012/13 to really judge him, this summer window is very much a case of patching up the Carroll fiasco.

That was at Southampton I think. Sacked for ragging one of the WAGs.

Haha. Didn't know that. Fantastic.

I liked him when he was at West Ham. Seemed like a top bloke. Never thought we'd end up with him like but there ya go, that's football.
The Arsenal match he got in trouble for was funny too <laugh>
