Yet to decide, seems an alright bloke. If we get the sort of signings he is talking about I'll be happy. Lets see how the first few games of the season go.

He seems to have the players playing for him which is the most important thing.

He should get enough money this season to start moulding his team and he will then be accountable for what he puts together. Hughton didnt make any bad signings other than say Perch but he was only ever a squad player, small fee and wages. How well Pardews signings do will determine if he is deemed a success.

The Cabaye signing for £4.3m i think is a great deal.... time will tell

If we can get the players being touted... Barnetta, Gardner, Neil Taylor, Ba and Erdinc i will be very happy and excited for next season. I would like to see us go for Reo Coker on a free too.

Because we have a bit money we are linked with everyone so i would like to see a few more confirmations through in the next couple of weeks.

Bit of a yes man but with our board to work with you cant really hold a grudge for that, alot of the high level stuff is out of his hands i.e. offering contracts. Be interesting to see what happens on the Enrique, Barton and Nolan front but if the approach is the club will no longer be held to ransom by its players i am happy with that.

Get rid of Enrique and get in M'Bengue

Keep Barton on until the end of the season and if we can get £5m for Nolan let him go, 5 year deal for a 28 year old slow midfielder is bad business and i cant blame the club for only offering 3. If he is kept on i hope it doesnt nring any negativity to the dressing room

The Good things about Pardew are as follows:

1.) He says the right things at the right times...sending good vibes and not just praising the team spirit.
2.) He is not afraid to say what he thinks.... even about Cashley... He demands the £35 million to improve the team and it looks (at the moment) like he is getting it too.
3.) He is looking at players who will improve the team. NOT JUST THE SQUAD.
4.) He has stated clearly he wants Barton and Nolan to stay.
5.) The players appear to respect him and thus will play for him.

    But....

1.) I am unsure as to whether he has done any better than Hughton yet... This season will tell.
2.) I hope he is not Cashleys Yes man. For example he says one thing that he wants but... in reality the other happens.
3.) He should sort the Enrique saga out NOW! If he dont want to sign a new contract get him out and spend the cash on a replacement he can work with during pre season (after the lads holidays)

The pros outweigh the cons at the moment and the right signals are coming out of the club. We seem to be stable and with a good pre season and no unrest we should be able to push for a top 10 position if not higher.

This is progress and part of the the 5 year plan. It would be nice for us to have a gaffer for longer than 2 seasons and I think Pardew is the man for this!

    GG!

He's not done bad for us. Obviously when he came in I think most people were unhappy about CH being sacked and Fat Mike hired his gambling buddy Pardew but this may actually play into our favour if Pardew can talk some sense into MA.

Let's hope that MA put's £1m on #17 and it comes up and he gives the £35m to Pards to bring in who he wants.

I think he's just Pie Boy's puppet to be honest, he's very good at PR spin though. I'm concerned that some of the fans will fall for it and take the heat off Ashley who simply must go.

Almost wept when he arrived, mostly getting caught up in all the drama. We where linked with Hughes, Jol and others then we get Pardew. Some league 1 bloke unfairly judged but he's done a fine job. <ok>

This is testing time for him though. He'll need to prove himself in this transfer window, very happy with it so far though. It's hard to fail however when you've got Carr picking players!
