NewsNow headline: Three notable names omitted from Tottenham Champions league squad

The story: Juan Foyth, Georges-Kevin N'Koudou and Vincent Jannsen aren't in Tottenham's Champions League squad

So that's one future prospect and two players we were trying to shift in the summer. How "notable" is that?

Luke Shaw almost lost his leg after horrendous injury.... which is how the story is being spun, implying that the injury itself was so bad that amputation was a possibility. The word "amputation" was even used in some stories as it's quite emotive isn't it. Anyway the actual story is that after the break which occurred overseas, there is a chance that if someone with that severe a break flies, blood clots might cause even more damage which may then lead to amputation. But he didn't fly back so he wasn't going to lose his leg was he.

That story's a load of bollocks but I think that's what ended Jimmy Holmes' career. He broke his leg playing for Eire (as was) in Bulgaria and they flew him home in a cast and it swelled up. I don't think he played again. Terrible shame, he was a good player.

A similar thing happened to Paul Lake: he was flown out to the US to have surgery on his persistent knee problem, but City's owners were so stingy they wouldn't pay to upgrade his seat for the flight home so him sitting in economy for the flight back from Colorado re-aggravated the injury and ended his career - and just to stick the boot in, City's owners did pay for a business class seat for the club physio on the same flight

He was a talent. Terrible waste of a young player.

NewsNow's had the genius idea of blocking half of the headlines on their feed in protest at an EU copyright directive

I'm sure every site and blog who rely on NewsNow to generate traffic are thrilled at hearing this...
Did the directive say ban Hairy Hotspunk or is the EU parliament sponsored by La Marca?

A reasoned and well argued article by The Sun's Chief Football Writer, Chicken Little....

https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/foot...us-precedent-for-a-much-maligned-competition/

If Spurs play one game at Milton Keynes in a largely meaningless and derided cup competition, in which neither team will play its best players, this may happen.....

...........despite Milton Keynes actually being Wimbledon FC, playing permanently 62 miles away from their home, which doesn't seem to offend Chicken Little or "mess with the heritage and culture of sport in this country." West Ham's move into Orients's manor, in contravention of the rules and their subsequent transformation into 'West Ham London' doesn't seem to have been a problem for him either. I won't bother to mention Charlton sharing with Palace and West Ham or Brighton moving to The Withdean or..........

Could it just be that Ashton is a total ****-wit and hypocrite?

'Spurs fans have come off worst again. They are being shunted here, there and everywhere.'
Feck me, we've been abused - having to wait an extra couple of months for our new home in the best stadium in Europe and having to travel to the closest available venue for one cup game. It's feckin' Milton Keynes FFS! Not Scunthorpe! Get a feckin' grip and enjoy the roundabouts and the concrete cows!

It's like listening to that little ray of sunshine, Harry Nobspur. Only thing missing is s random 'ENIC OUT!' thrown in for effect <doh>

This is the dictionary definition of an unholy alliance....

Murdoch and Harry Hotspur. Has it really come to this?
Just think of all the talented writers out there working on blogs that put thought, research and common sense into their output.

Then think about how this moronic ****bag has pocketed a cheque from Uncle Rupert so he gets to slag off the club to a larger audience in spite not having a ****ing clue what he's talking about

By the way, has anyone mentioned to The Sun the sort of stuff their newest writer tweets? Stuff like...

Can't think why Murdoch's Hate Comic would want him on the payroll...

Also says a lot that the only person to respond to the article says he's full of ****.

On the subject of Murdoch's Hate Comic, it probably needs to be pointed out that their Political Editor Tom Newton Dunn is in this photo and not, say, somebody under the employ of a foreign dictator set on manipulating Western governments for their own ends

Oh wait...
