Our friends at the daily express are saying that Spurs average attendance is only 50,372 despite playing at Wembley with a capacity of 90,000. They appear to neglect the fact that Spurs are limited for most of the matches by the local council. But why let the facts get in the way of a good story. The nomads are claiming an average of 59,909, so looking at the number of empty seats, one could imagine that their capacity is around 90k as well.
The Daily Diana is only used as a reference point by anyone with a blue rinse and pearls. Their circulation figures are equally dubious and the papers outlook even bleaker than the Goons!
The Evening Standard have decided to resurrect the Mauricio Pochettino to United story. The basis for the story seems solely to be that United have a lot of money.... https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/fo...ricio-pochettino-from-tottenham-a4068716.html I could have sworn that, just a few weeks ago, MP had stated that he was committed to Tottenham?
Michael Owen says Spurs fans' mentality needs to change, as the belief that we'll somehow balls things up is what's holding us back Because thirty years of "This year will be our year!!!!" has worked wonders for his former club, hasn't it?
Ian Holloway is mouthing off on talkBALLS, claiming Poch's not a good manager Just a reminder, Ian Holloway has been out of work since the end of last season, presumably because his track record of getting relegated from the Championship isn't appealing to the sort of clubs who might consider recruiting him...
Would it surprise you to learn that he's mates with Rachel Riley? Oh, and a Nomad? please log in to view this image ...or the only thing he's noted for is mocking the disabled and wearing blackface?
There is a discussion to be had, which will never happen, over what really constitutes free speech. I would dare to suggest that a lot of those who advocate it will then put in a large number of restrictions about what you can't say - because basically almost anything you could say would offend someone. So by the time you have worked out what you can't say for fear of offending people, it's not really free speech is it? Then there's things that don't make sense like it appears it's ok to offend red headed people because that's just a joke, and presumably they don't take offense. Also you can't draw a cartoon of Serena Williams because the features it emphases might be offensive, kind of missing the point about what a cartoon is - not the offensive bit, but the fact that it exaggerates characteristics as it's modus operandi. Frankly you could probably upset someone with just about anything, and it appears now that whether you meant it offensively is no longer relevant.
He picks and chooses when he's atheist and when he's jewish depending on how convenient it is to be one or the other Since he's currently receiving death threats from calling Michael Jackson a paedo he needed to find a way to portray himself as a victim, the only option left for him was to go Full Baddiel and point the finger at us...which definitely has nothing to do with being pissy about Saturday's result And, yes, David Baddiel's also kicking off about the same statement - although the good news is that nobody ever figured out who the weak link of Little & Large was, so they aren't also having a pop at us...
There is no "X" crime/speech, as myriad acts of crime/speech are motivated by myriad X (where is 'fraud speech' , 'lust crime' , 'gluttony speech' etc ?? ) . The USA "1st amendment" is a sound enough model. Incitement to criminal act, or attempted acts of deformation, is already covered by law. As some observers have noted, if you can keep your discourse CIVIL, and FREE FROM EMOTION, then ANY topic is up for cogent debate.
You pass the "caps lock" test, but not enough expletives nor threats to rape me and/or my family relations.
Various papers and blogs are talking about how Man Utd will be signing Toby for £26m in the summer Errm...have they forgotten a year's worth of reporting that his release clause is £25m? The second they offer so much as a penny more than that, like Arsenal famously did when offering £40,000,001 for Luis Suarez a few years ago, that means we are actually in a position to reject the transfer and make them look like clueless buffoons Of course, the Lunatic Fringe are gnashing their teeth about selling to a rival, showing they are just as ignorant of how release clauses work too...
I hate that bullshit about Arsenal's spending. It vastly increased after they moved. The problem for them was that they gave players like Walcott ridiculous wages and spunked it up the wall.
