Page no not at all,i am just trying to give you an insight in to how he sets his stall out, the system he uses we were played off the park by a few sides last season, sides began to work us out, and because rodgers refused to change our system we were found out, i will leave the commentators and others to comment on swansea i am just happy to be in the premier league
@MabonJack - I assume we will play a passing game higher up the pitch than Swansea because our players are a level above techincally. We also have players who are geniunely world class in attack and can create chances out of nothing unlike Swansea who had to rely on a good pieces of play from the whole team to create a chance. We've also got the best sweeper keeper in the world and as a result our defensive line will not need to be as deep as Swansea's in possession.
I only read the last line as u have been banging the same drum all day answer...who the **** knows??? You don't think the owners will give him time...we get it. Its a shame you keep spoiling your every argument with the notion that your beloved system would be beyond the bounds of Liverpools current players. Bear in mind that our worst season in decades was still better than your best season in decades it might not take quite as long as you think. But who the **** knows??
The problem we had was this, when things were going wrong in games there was no plan b, the only time rodgers changed the system was against QPR away at the end of the season, which you may have seen on tv, he could not change it back to a familiar system because he had left a few key players at home, that is my worry for you, and how will the big players respond to the changes,
My point is Mj,even though Rodgers wont wear players with big reps ruling the roost he'll have to play to our players strengths and that will dictate formation etc. Swansea played nice 'eye candy' football last season and were rightly praised for it,your new manager would be foolish to change that system to much. Anyway mate, good debate, good luck next season.
Any manager would have bad aspects to their game. If Guardiola was appointed you would have at least one person going on about his lack of plan B vs Chelsea etc. Despite these issues with Swansea, you still exceeded expectations and most newly promoted teams would bite your hand off if the worst things to happen to them was like what you described. Some don't even have a plan A that works. I think it's safe to say that most agree that this could be a great appointment or a royal balls up...every great manager has to start some where and get their big break at some point. For Rodgers...it is now.
GRRR!!! what the **** is it about other teams fans thinking Liverpool supporters will try to get their manager sacked if performances are bad??? Kenny- Was still wanted by majority of fans when sacked Hodgson - air point but we were 18th, playing poorly and i've never seen a man deflect blame quite like him Rafa - Was still wanted by majority of fans when sacked! OK we've had 4 managers in 2 years but before then our last 4 manager had a combined 20 years (ish) at the club This myth is an absolute farce... The other annoying thing is that rival fans said we were showing blind faith in Kenny so somehow we hound out managers yet show blind faith at the same time, which is it???
Sigurdsson's transfer to Swansea is off wants to come to Liverpool. (SSN this morning) Good player and obviously wants to play for BR
You should not need a plan B. If your team is playing well, it is for the other team to try and match them. If the other team park the bus, you don't need to change the system, no system will counter that, you just need players with individual skill, who can unlock those defences. I mean what could Pep of done against Chavski? Sometimes it is just not your day, and if a team have the mental strength to park the bus and not fall asleep at any time over the 90, then you have to grudgingly applaud them.
Gylfi refuses to sign for Swansea and talks up a move to LFC. http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/live...turns-down-swansea-city-move-100252-31121988/
I know they are not the big name players, but if we sign the likes of Gylfi ( 6.8) Dempsey (5-8 apparently), Dembele ( 10 possibly) , the latter two just examples or those linked, That would only put us at around that 30 mark that everyone talks about before our selling of players ( Kuyt and Aurelio gone, big wages gone). I would take those three and others in the league ( Moses for example) to keep adding some pace, some creativity, some good technical ability without paying OTT. Would not be bad I tells ya!
I'm not that much of a fan of Hoilett, but I understand why we would look at him ( free, would be good but I would prefer moses).
Moses is top notch, I was thinking if Martinez was going to get the Liverpool job that one positive thing was that we might have had first choice on Moses.
