If it's real (big if), will look better with a sponsor on it. It's the expanse of plain red that is unappealing...makes it look unbalanced.
You can't even see the whole thing yet, let alone know if that is genuinely it.
Can't wait to be even more appalled when I see the full wonder of our "Liverpool/BristolCity/KualaLumpurUnited" kit.
The gold just makes the kit look cheap.
Mind you, didn't somebody mention Lotus as a potential sponsor?
I suppose the gold logos would set the Lotus logo off quite nicely. Perhaps that's why it was designed this way?

I won't be buying a red shirt I don't want anyone to think I'm wearing Arsenal/ Liverpool or even worse Man U.
If that is the kit , i agree , but it could also have been much much better .....
'It could have been worse' is no reason to get excited. Hope NC has chucked a curve ball & the real one is nice. If that's what we are wearing next season, we should sign up 'MEH' as a shirt sponsor....& quick before Cardiff agree that 18 year deal.
Everyone that hasn't seen it, check out Atletico Madrid's new kit.. Red and white stripes, and it looks so classy! Would love something similar (even thought I'm not fussed about stripes either way).

Nice kit but the blue trim would be a massive no no. I'd hate to see any sort of blue on a Saints home kit!
Saints shorts were blue from 1891 to 1950. That's the reason why Athletico have blue shorts as they copied our kit (or a southampton kit was donated, something along those lines)
From memory, think Saints only moved from blue to black due to an order muck-up, but the black stuck (until being discarded last season of course, ahem)
I don't really care about all this lack of stripes talk. Or the look like Liverpool, Bristol etc. I just want a decent kit. Unfortunately that kit is not decent or even close to be decent.
