Jose doesn't come out squeaky clean if like you said he was 80-20 to leave, but certainly for realising the error of his waysBut his agent might. Like I said on the transfer thread, both Fonte and the club deserve praise.

It would have made a huge amount of career sense for him to leave for a big payday. Personally I don't blame him at all for considering it, footballers have short careers and it would have given him long term stability.Jose doesn't come out squeaky clean if like you said he was 80-20 to leave, but certainly for realising the error of his ways![]()

I wonder what kept him here - I believe he was doing his coaching badges along with SKD - maybe we've offered him a "pathway to the backroom" so he knows he'll still have a stable future in three years time.
More like actions speak louder than words, so put in some decent shifts and help us forget what a twat you've been. Welcome back.
Sorry dadIt means nothing, but I have zero problem with how Jose has acted publicly.
Other than that trouble maker Beefy, I would have no idea about there ever being a potential problem between player and club.
What did Jose actually say then?
You must want it written in blood. He clearly said that he was staying. And relax.I watched Puel's presser earlier when it was live and heard everything he said and I'm still not 100% certain that Fonte will remain. I'm not sure if I'm alone in this? A lot can happen in a few days, Southampton fans know this better than anybody!
