I don’t doubt what you’ve been told, just disagree it absolves Neil of any blame for the way he’s handled it

Disagree. No time is a good time and a person has enough. AN has masterminded a near perfect run of games. His record is absolutely outstanding, not sure anyone in safc history even matches it.

We didn't sort his deal and pay the price. That isn't his fault.

This, no one can condone his part in this, especially if he has been **** stirring with the players. This hasn’t just happened in a matter of hours either, he must have been aware last week

Expecting the deal to be sorted. It didn't come.

no… but how he personally decides to deal with that situation and exit is his choice.

it doesn’t take away from the piss poor position our clubs got itself into, but it doesn’t absolve him.

there’s no such time as a good time, but there are much better times than the day before a game

He was promised something, he wasn't getting it. He's pissed off so resign.

Or he's promised something, he wasn't getting it, he's so pissed of he waited for the first offer that met his figures

Not sure why a manager should burn money and severence pay when an organisation hasn't met standard but ok.

We don't agree. Most won't here it's cool.

We have lost a really good manager. Sure speakman will talk about a coffee cup for 20 mins like before. (which LJ then ripped off and used the same presentation).

Also not the clubs fault though, if they have an amount they believe he is worth and thats what they are willing to pay but he wants more then I am happy for the club to stick to there valuation.

Look I'm annoyed how its gone but Neil has left us high n dry for tomorrow. I wouldnt have minded as much if he got through tomorrow's game then left. It seems like a power play by him.

We wont agree on this and I suppose thats what these forums are for to share our opinions.

What we can all agree on is how important it is to nail this next appointment

I get that mate, but there is no way that I will condone what he has done today. I just can’t forgive him. But that also doesn’t mean that I provide mitigation for Speakman either, I’m ****ing fizzing and I should know better at my age

Aye. I am hitting the hay anyway mate. Pissed me off all evening.

Would you want him in the dugout tomorrow if hes received an offer hes going to accept?

hes clearly been able to talk to Stoke in secret so I’m sure he could hold onto that for 24 hours.

he’s a professional guy so would give his all during the match. The players didn’t need to be told the morning before that their footballing world is being turned upside down

I appreciate your not a Speakmans fan, that comes across clearly.

But as an SAFC fan even you must admit what he has done today is disgraceful. As for his severance pay and burning money, sorry but he's hardly been earning minimum wage for the past 10 years

Incorrect. The club screwed up. I would love to defend them. We said we must get it right after LJ too. We did.

We then screwed it. It's ok to say. The representatives of the club screwed up.
Respect your opinions and info always mate. There are different stories though here, from outside of the club as well. No idea who is right or wrong at this stage, but I am not hammering the club yet.

Not if the Stoke deal is to be announced before their game tomorrow

His heads been turned enough for him to go and IMO if it was one of my staff you get them out the door before the quality of work suffers. As much as he is professional his hearts and head is no longer in it

I was more concerned that it was handled properly. It wasn't, as we all know. Even when AN was assumed to be the man it took a week to deal the deal.

Only one man to blame. The man who likes to flaunt his position. Same now.

We'll all see this eventually IMO.

Maybe it took a week of failing to get AN to give up on his 12 month rolling contract with a clause attached.......

I think Speakman is having to rebuild a club from scratch on a modest budget. These things take time, the support of the fans and the odd mistake along the road.

Did he try to speak to KLD about it?

I would, as it's hopefully another 3 points on the board. An outgoing Neil has more chance of getting that, than a fill in with 1 days notice (Dodds).

It will be the number 2 in charge tomorrow. Not Dodds or Proctor. The number 2 isnt a long standing Alex Neil man. Plus dont forget the arguing about subs on the touchline recently. There are at least some opinions left.
