Speakman is a fool. AN no time for bluffers. He has been let down so he went. Sick of seeing the fanzines try to turn this into AN already.
Incorrect. The club screwed up. I would love to defend them. We said we must get it right after LJ too. We did. We then screwed it. It's ok to say. The representatives of the club screwed up.
its both mate. It doesn’t have to be one or other. Both sides to blame. Speakman definitely the most so (IMO). But Neil has not dealt with this well
I'm not buying this "it's all Speakmans fault" mantra. Whilst I appreciate the ITK posters are posting in good faith, it's clearly one side of the story and really isn't helping things.
We haven't failed to pay his wages or bring in good players tbf. If he wants the club to do everything he wants then that's too bad. I doubt Stoke will do anything more than just give him more money.
I know you provide great info mate but its clear at times you arent Speakman's biggest fan. Neil has left us the day before a big game to talk to another club - I cant stand that. Even if he is annoyed or pee'd off how things are going behind the scene then leave before now or at least see tomorrow's game out then go. We will never know for sure what happened but I would prefer to side with the person who is sticking with the club then the one leaving for Stoke City
If you know for a fact he has had other offers, then he clearly doesn't mind who knows this. Hardly convincing that we should have moved heaven and earth to keep him if he is A). Happily telling people about these offers And B) not discouraging offers
out of interest you were steadfastly dismissing that he would leave as of last night, so did you learn about all these broken promises today? As otherwise surely you’d have been less confident to the point of dismissive about it last night? that’s not having a go, I’m just curious. As it’s all a bit of a shock to all of us.
Why ? Speakman has pissed about for weeks. Why should he wait any longer. I see it's easy to blame the outgoing manager. It's not the facts though. Probably going against the grain but I am happy with what I have been told and if it annoys people then so be it.
I don’t doubt what you’ve been told, just disagree it absolves Neil of any blame for the way he’s handled it
I don't think he was sacked, I am sure that I read he left to do a sports science course or similar. In one of the Access all Areas programmes at the end of last season the players were signing a shirt as part of a leaving present for him.
He was promised something, he wasn't getting it. He's pissed off so resign. Or he's promised something, he wasn't getting it, he's so pissed of he waited for the first offer that met his figures
This, no one can condone his part in this, especially if he has been **** stirring with the players. This hasn’t just happened in a matter of hours either, he must have been aware last week
