This! A thousand times this. Completely unprofessional. The impact from him doing that could be more damaging than him leaving. It immediately puts the new man on a difficult footing with the players.
Having slept on it, my feelings haven't changed. Alex Neil is not the second coming of Christ, he's a good manager and I will always be grateful for him getting us out of league one, but if he has been moaning to the players (possibly in the hope that they would back him and give him more leverage?) the bloke can **** off. It's at best unprofessional, at worst done to cause maximum damage In short, he's a ****
no matter if it's the clubs fault or not personally opinion, this has been going on behind the clubs back
i hope when we said he could speak to them he was given an ultimatum to be back for today’s game if he couldn’t agree a deal, so we can sack him if he doesn’t return on time. We can’t kick off with our manager being down Stoke.
With this meeting at BCH this morning, is it just an inquest or do the club still (naively) think they can get him to stay?
So just the right time to negotiate a deal with the club you nearly went to in the past, knowing a row now means our club has limited ability to manage. This has been managed by stoke from last week and AN better make a good job of it or he's finished on the game. He's pulled this trick at a very high profile club .
Where was he like bob? I heard he was on a Kilimanjaro expedition, a colleague of mine did it 6 years ago and he used to send a picture diary daily to us, so if that’s where he’s at he must have chosen to not be contacted, which for safety reasons wouldn’t be allowed surely? https://www.kandooadventures.com/bl...imanjaro-this-is-kilimanjaro-calling-351.html
He went behind his back, called him a biggot and a mysoginist if that's how you spell it. To Sky bosses over its a man's game comment in front of Karen Carney.
Speakman has all the power mate. That's KLD biggest mistake since he come here. Leaving him in charge of it all.
Suppose there's always the chance KLD authorises a budget busting wage rise for AN but likely it's too little, too late
Already made an offer once stoke were in but it was too late. Just wish it was sorted sooner rather than adjusting the rolling slightly.
Oh, I agree he’s gone. If the club is the shambles many imply it is though then I wondered if they may still be tootling along thinking it’s salvageable.
I feel he was never there for the long run However maybe we fell for him a bit and wanted him to stay Nevertheless now we can go one to our origional plan to get rid and improve our manager Maybe I’m off the mark ???
As long as we bring in someone who is as capable, if not more so, than Alex Neil, I don't see what the fuss is. As I said on the other thread, the club structure is meant to be that the Head Coach can come and go but the direction of the club doesn't deviate. If Neil doesn't want to be here, he's not the right man.
Right slept on it, and I think for us 99% of folks who have to work for a living, look after their families and generally try to better their lives, if I got an offer for an equivalent role, much closer to home on more money, better security of employment etc, of course I would take it. I might feel **** if I had an affinity to my current employer, but I’d still go, it’s a bigger picture thing. So good luck to him, let’s move on. now I also think I’d try to sort the timing out so as not to leave my employer in the ****, but that’s me in my industry, AN did what he did, and now we have to find the next AN before Wednesday, not let this drag for weeks like last time, or all the hard work of the start to the season will be undone, and that will be sinful.
The Athletic have just put out a piece saying our counter offer was no where near what Stoke offered. Deodrant2 on RTG is adamant we’re absolutely skint, maybe this plays into that.
I understand your point However if it were me I would be looking to improve not go backwards we are on the up stoke no
