Fair comment, but I dont think the full story is as cut and dried as is being made out.

Personal opinions and all that

Yeah mate. That's fair enough. There maybe other factors at play but that's what I was told so it's good enough for me.

If he sees Stoke as a better option god knows what state things are behind the scenes.

There is that.

But what do the club do here then? Do they know ? Have they thought this through?

Doubts would be very reasonable given recent months.

So do they do the same, and get in a coach on the same 12 month rolling deal, with very limited or no say in transfers. Maybe he'll do well , maybe not. Let's say he does well. Well enough to think he might merit a better deal and more say? Will HE then respond to inevitable overtures from elsewhere, offering what we won't?

Or will they instead offer a longer deal, either now or later, which would imply that is what they should have done with Neill?

Or more likely, are they just starting to think about it now?

Once again it's s a shambles, and if a daft lad like me could see this coming, then I'd love to know what Speakman is doing that he couldn't.

I could be miles out but I'm far from convinced the club have pushed the boat out to keep AN here.

That intrigues me.

I reckon this is all just playing out in public now but has been going on a while.

the boat may have already been pushed as far as they'll push.

Alternatively, the club may genuinely think he's going to turn Stoke down / agree a new deal. feels unlikely tho

The way I look at this is let's say you're working for an agency been there a little while still haven't took you on. Along comes a job in the same line of work but it is permanently employed. Anyone would take the permanent position I'm sorry like you just would.

If you say so, no doubt you'll say you're being a realist, but to me you're being a right pessimist. All imo of course
I hope he is there tomorrow, because with those two clowns stepping up I can see us losing our next three games

It's been said he was unhappy with the transfer business? He expected more to be done by now. Seems strange if true, as a lot of business for all clubs is done in the last couple of weeks.

Going to be interesting to see if KLD blames anyone for this, guess we'll find out once the dust settles. Several sides to the story and all that
