I'm sure he'll manage to underwhelm us all again...……….The new manager will have a L1 squad to work with.
Difficult 'sell' for Ashton.

I notice Ashton has disappeared up his own arsehole again, SL came out with a verbal blast on Monday, Tuesday Dean Holden ditched because of failure, Wednesday not a syllable yet from our CEO, the dust will settle and we will see him sliding out of the darkness to reappear and assume his role.
Did you hear SL on sound of the City, I’d be very surprised if MA goes anywhere, our best hope is his role is sufficiently changed to allow a manager to be appointed to deal with football side in f the club, and leave MA to deal with negotiations etcI do wonder if he is next to go.
SL cannot be happy with him on a number of issues,
Because most under LJ were close games and the feeling was, he would turn it around.which of course he did!!!....didn't feel that with Deano's setup. Ever!!Holden must wonder why he was sacked after only losing 6 on the bounce.
Contrast that with Junior losing EIGHT on the bounce (a BCFC record and coincidently the same club record he also holds at Barnsley) and yet rewarded with an extension to his contract.
It's a funny old world.

I disagree with that.....(I know you're still hanging on to what LJ left us, you can't help yourself)The new manager will have a L1 squad to work with.

(I know you're still hanging on to what LJ left us,

Wanted Deano to do well after taking over from LJ's achievements and progressing us to the next level........We did get early points on the board which IMO were a bit of a Red Herring to the reality of most of our performances.
From the off and for the limited games I watched, I still thought as a team we were poor although bit my tongue as we were clocking up points......I Never understood Deano's style, the majority of his formations or the use of his substitutions and IMO very rarely got his tactics right..and as RP would say "I could see it ending in tears" if he didn't change ways......struggled to try different things, reminded me of SC a bit when struggling to win games in the championship.
I hope the board have finally learnt some lessons appointing, "the easy & cheap option" ...........but I remember saying exactly the same thing when GJ was fired and Millen brought in....
We will now see how serious for success SL really is.
Ha ha, I know your game RP......Had we been in the top 2 with Deano, It would have been all about how bad LJ was as a coach, but because it all went downhill, it's all about the players he left us...................either way, in your eyes.........LJ would have been a fault.........because you hate him that muchCap fits.....![]()

I agree with all of that except Pearson.........wouldn't last 5 minutesI still believe that the appointment of Holden was another cynical cheap ploy to see us through this seasons unusual circumstances of lack of revenue and review it again once the season ended and they were in a position to see where we were in the summer, hence the 12 month roll over.
The squad was in desperate need of a quality overhaul, what was funded was half hearted at best, only Martin can be seen as an upgrade, but the area that needed the most quality overhaul was the midfield and knowing the 'alleged' severity of Walsh's injury before a ball was kicked and Williams 'first day injury', it was decided to make do AGAIN. The decision not to bring in a left wing back in January to me shows how dysfunctional our club actually is.
Brunt was a shocking signing, luckily for us he was a rare animal in the football world, he had integrity and self respect and instead of taking the money with no chance of playing for the rest of his contract he retired. Sadly I fear as I did upon signing him that Lansbury is yet another poor signing, the guy has an ego the size of Texas, a player living off former glories, he was shocking last night and has been so since he arrived and the way he treats referees is a disgrace, the Cardiff game he should have been sent off, booked again last night and should have been booked earlier and again his reaction when coming off should have resulted in 2nd yellow and not 1st that it was. The sum total for us is one good free kick and 2 yellows.
In midfield I feel desperately sorry for Bakinson, he is going to be a top player, but he is young and needs the guidance of a Bannonesque type player, there is absolutely no leadership in midfield.
The club needs a totally new approach, starting off with transfer business, it is clear that our current system and whatever the truth of who does or does not have the last say in signings AIN'T WORKING and neither is APPOINTING CHEAP OPTION MANAGERS.
So here's what I think, go for somebody with pedigree, not somebody like John Terry or others mentioned, Pearson might be the man IMHO and use the inducement of a bonus on retaining our championship status.
I disagree with that.....(I know you're still hanging on to what LJ left us, you can't help yourself)
We have some good players and I believe with a few decent loans and with the right coach in place....I still feel we have what could be a decent side.
The sell for Ashton would be the need to have reassurance that the new coach will have full control of team affairs and full say of the players brought in..
I agree with all of that except Pearson.........wouldn't last 5 minutes

Loses his rag too quickly, hence why he struggles to keep keep any job down since his days at Leicester......No way will he get on with the suits at our club. Why exactly?

Along with that...I just don't rate him..
Give it a rest RP, in that run, we were scoring goals, still playing OK, and very unlucky in a number of those games. Those that know football know we were not a bad side then. Contrast that to now, we are lucky if we get 1 shot on target per game, you can't win if you aren't capable of at least creating chances to score, that is the key difference. Had we been playing well, creating chances, but still losing, I don't think DH would have got the bullet yesterday, SL would have given him more time.
Come on that was happening in the run up to LJ's sacking, in fact didn't we go 2 and a half games without a shot of any description during that run?
Which run? RP was referencing the 8 games lost on the bounce? Come the end of that season in 2016-17 when we lost all those games, we still scored 60 goals, whereas; right now we have 29 goals from 30 games, not even a goal a game.... There is no contrast, it's just LJ beating from him, again......
