Hope it all goes well, sb. There are many types of blood pressure tablets. Mine have a Diuretic in them which cause the
kidneys to remove more
sodium and water from the body, which helps to relax the
blood vessel walls, thereby lowering
blood pressure. Apparently my kidneys were were in poor state with the prognosis being that I had high blood pressure for quite some time but it had not been picked up.
I was pissing all the time and when checked, the doctor had me carrying a large plastic bottle to gauge how much over a 24 hour period. I managed 24 pisses in 24 hours. Quite a feat really. Anyway, as the specialist said, people can go through life not knowing that they have high blood pressure and the damaged to your kidneys can be immense. It can and will then affect your eyes and other organs as he mentioned how bad some patients cases were.
I work on the theory that every ten years, we need to change and adapt our lifestyle in readiness for the next stage of our life.
If we turn a blind eye to it, there will be a very good chance we won't survive it. If we adapt, we get through the next stage.
Sounds boring and as you say, the reward that we feel entitled to after years of hardwork and raising a family, seems we are cheated.
Bit like supporting Queens Park Rangers ................ we're there for the hard times, living in hope of finally making to the promise land and sharing in some glory and then we get rolled over by another false promise or alike.
