RIP George. A gentleman, a champion and a character. He seemed a genuinely warm and engaging bloke, as well as being one of the genuine greats. The show he did with William Shatner, Terry Bradshaw and Henry Winkler, Better late than never, was great. Very funny and the genuine warmth and affection for each other shone through. RIP Big George.

He fought in the greatest era of Heavyweights in my opinion. Ali, Frazier, Norton and he, then latterly Holmes. The way he demolished Frazier and Norton was quite the thing. Ali was too clever though, a different level of boxer.

Out of the ring a real gent. Not every boxer can say that. He had the respect of everyone in the game. He leaves great memories for boxing fans of all ages.
