He finished 5th in Martinez first season, so I was right.

The current squad hasn’t got a striker anywhere near the quality of Lukaku, and so it’s not good enough for top 6 at the minute. I’d take 8th and a season where we gradually improve across the side and end strongly, add a striker next summer and see where he can take us.

Why you arguing against it? He said you changed your tune. You arguing against it makes it sound life you don't agree you changed your tune which the posts (and your response) clearly show you did!

Only I haven’t changed my tune, I’d have said the same thing about any manager after 6 games, if the football was a major improvement on what went before.

After 3 seasons, with the last 2 being largely ****e, it’s a completely different matter.

But you knew that......

I would have been happy to have kept Martinez and let him spend the cash we wasted. He wouldn’t have ever conceded a goal to Harry Kane that’s for sure. But he is just like ajose, he tries teams/national FAs into giving him a job.
