Former Premier League goalkeeper Matt Duke has joined National League North side Alfreton Town on a one-year deal.
The 38-year-old, who made one appearance for Alfreton during a trial spell in 1999, played in the top flight during a seven-year spell at Hull City.

Duke has also played for Sheffield United, Burton Albion and more recently Bradford City, who he helped reach the League Cup final in 2013.

He joined Northampton Town in 2013 and was released at the end of last season.

He'll be popping up at North Ferriby 30th April next year then.

John Stones - Arguably the most overrated player in world football. One full season with Everton in one of their worst seasons in recent history and he's worth £30m+

Reactions: South West 'Ulltra
He's really played two seasons and he's a very good player.

There is no denying he is a good player. There is no denying his potential.

But I think there is no denying that he is currently incredibly overrated and the figures bandied around are ridiculous.

His reputation has come largely from the season that has just gone. The fees mentioned make the Sterling deal look like a bargain.

At least Sterling has proved something at a higher level with a higher caliber of player and in the England set up. Not to mention he is an attacking player which always commands a higher premium.

Well Wba have previously said that they want north of £20m for Berahino so they would reject £15m-ish.

Sounds a bit like our bids for Andre Gray. Offer less and hope. <laugh>

Maybe £15m and Aaron Lennon would be of more interest to the Baggies. <laugh>

Couldn't disagree more. Stones oozes class and looks to have it all. He should be starting for England.

Norwich have made a "substantial" offer for Benik Afobe (Wolves)

BREAKING NEWS: Sky Sources - Napoli midfielder Gokhan Inler passes medical at Leicester and has agreed personal terms.

Pedro is undergoing a medical at Chelsea after the club reached an agreement with Barcelona yesterday.

That one will go down well in Manchester.

Pedro to Chelsea?

Well, that came out of nowhere. They don't even need him. Feels like they've gone after him just to stop Man Utd getting him.
