I'm wondering why they sacked him for finishing 4th. It isn't like he's going to win that league over Juventus ffs.

Simply because he made public overtures towards the Napoli job - he's from Naples - and the Fiorentina board didnt like it, claiming they could no longer trust him. On the pitch he has done a good job playing great football and finishing higher than the massive spending Rafa at Napoli and reaching the Europa semis.

I think the opposite. Expecting McLaren to do a decent job with the Mags finishing in the Top 10 with ease. Didn't they finish last season in huge profit and have stated they are now ready to spend. I reckon they will spend £40-50m this summer, some of which paid for with departures

Mclaren really isn't a great Manager though a bit of a bottler. I fully expect Newcastle to be struggling to keep there heads above water again. Plus like has been mentioned we spunked 40 odd million and got relegated.

Andre Ayew's deal at Swansea is apparently just shy of £100k a week, not such a free transfer after all.
.

The fact that they got him as a FAT is reason why they can afford to pay him £100k a week. Also dont forget they have the Bony wonga £28m to spend.

IMO, Ayew will do well to score 12 goals next season in the PL.

Considering he's not a striker, I suspect Swansea would be ecstatic if he scores 12 goals next season.

If they seriously have agreed to pay him over £20m in wages, then they've really not no benefit at all from him being available on a free.

I wonder who Tickles **** striker fetish will be about this summer.

Well whoever they are will be far better than what you come up with.

Is the George Swan that just signed for York the son of our favourite broadcaster?
He is indeed.

Man City to York City via Wolverhampton. My how the lad is sinking fast.
But good luck to him. Maybe he can work his way back up to somewhere in the future.
His York deal is just one year.

Ayew said that he can play out wide or as a striker. If Swansea are still in the PL this time next year his wages wont be an issue anyway. Ayew is a mate of Gomis.
