Premier League released players...

Arsenal - Diaby, Miyaichi
Villa - Vlaar, Bent, Stevens
Burnley - Wallace, Reid
Chelsea - Drogba
Palace - Hangeland
Everton - Alcaraz, Distin
Hull - Figueroa, McShane, Rosenior
Leicester - Upson, Taylor Fletcher
Liverpool- Gerrard, Johnson, Jones
Man City - Guidetti, Richards, Lampard
Man United - Amos, Cleverley
Newcastle - Alnwick, Gutierrez, Ryan Taylor.
QPR - Barton, Dunne, Ferdinand, SWP
Saints - Boruc, Hooiveld
Stoke - Palacios, Sorensen
Sunderland - Brown
Stoke - Tate, Tremmel
Spurs - Friedel
West Brom - Baird, Mulumbu, McAuley
West Ham - C.Cole, Jaaskelainen, Demel

I think the term 'released' is misleading. I know you've cut and paste this and it is technically correct but there should be a distinction between who wasnt offered a deal and who rejected one. Vlaar is the perfect example.

I think he's quite possibly the only example.

As it turns out, it's not a very comprehensive list, the actual list posted on the new thread shows it's a much bigger list.

Andre Ayew's deal at Swansea is apparently just shy of £100k a week, not such a free transfer after all.

Atletico Madrid are in talks with Juventus striker Carlos Tevez.

It looks like Arsenal are about to trigger the €35m buy-out clause for Porto's Jackson Martinez.

Could be an exciting one for the Premier League, he scored 21 in 29 games last season, 20 in 30 the season before and 26 in 30 the season before that.

There's also rumours that Chelsea are going to pull out of the Falcao deal and sign Higuain instead.

Didn't Wolfswinkel have a prolific record in Portugal?

Would be good to see some of the worlds best players in the premier league.

We have the worlds richest league, so why are Messi and Ronaldo playing in Spain?

Because they're probably the two richest clubs. Where the premier league makes a lot of money and shares it among its clubs to create a fierce competition, Barcelona and Real Madrid take all the money in Spain leaving a handful of half decent clubs that occasionally put together a truly decent team and a truckload of ****e to make up the numbers.

Atletico Madrid make a decent fist of things.

That Rosenior fella could do a good job for us at RB seeing as though we currently don't have any in the first team squad...

Paulo Sousa, coach of Swiss champions Basel, is reportedly set to be named manager of Fiorentina after Vincenzo Montella was sacked last week despite clinching 4th.

Good move for him, wonder why it never worked at Lester?

I'm wondering why they sacked him for finishing 4th. It isn't like he's going to win that league over Juventus ffs.
