He’s a very smart man .

He’s manipulated the system / people to enable himself to get into power , and make it next to impossible to get himself removed .

I agree totally in what you say , but he’s crafty in the extreme .

Hopefully Ferrari will be strong in Monaco this weekend. They should be - the track suits their car. Although Charles could probably qualify in the top 5 in a bus anyway. Will be interesting to see how Lewis compares to him this weekend - he's no slouch around Monaco but Charles is incredible on this circuit.

I’m not sure about this .

I get the lure of the Ferrari name , and he is obviously in love with the team .

The team deserve it as well imho . Fred Vasseur is fantastic imho , and all the other staff .

Part of me just feels he’s highly unlikely to ever be WDC in that team ( neither is anyone else ) .

I honestly hope I’m wrong because his talent is definitely right up there , and he seems a really decent bloke , may not matter to many , but it’s a trait I admire .

Where would he go though? The only team you could say have a big advantage over Ferrari at the moment are Mercedes. Clearly Antonelli isn't going anywhere for the foreseeable future and if Russell does depart Mercedes have their eyes on Verstappen. McLaren have Lando and Piastri secured as their drivers. So that leaves Red Bull. And that's a sideways step at best and Charles isn't leaving the team he's been with for all of his motor racing career for that.

Good point .

Agreed. The Lewis/Charles comparison will be fascinating for this one. Which is lucky, as the race is usually anything but!
